Good to someone still rolling the muck 👍
@RosierConstruction9 ай бұрын
In my opinion, there are so many benefits from rolling it, you keep your muck fresh on the board , less dropping off around your feet and it sets you up for a good even spread . The art of the bed is a thing of the past unfortunately, all I see is 2” beds and then working so hard to get them down and by the end of there corner is build there an inch tall with the muck on the feet

I have asked this question before on another Brickies Channel...but why do you use a quarter in your corner? When doing an external corner, you would no doubt do the same! You would have had to cut the quarters, so why not cut and use three quarters?

It alll depends on the length of your wall, so you work that out first . Say your wall 9m long that woff to keep blocks so a 1/4 will make your corner half bond and it’ll work but if your wall was 8.9m you would use a 3/4 as it will make it work

You can eliminate that 4" plug in the corner by using a 11-5/8" cut on every course. In other words you're doing it wrong!! Your work looks really good though!!!

Well I’ve been doing it wrong for 20+ years then and every bricklayer I know and have ever worked with but thanks for watching 👍🏻

@RosierConstruction I grew up in masonry. Started when I was 12. Learned residential from my dad and brother, who were union masons. Started union commercial at 26. Worked with some of the best masons and learned. Crap like that doesn't fly here in America!!!!
@RosierConstruction5 ай бұрын
@@JeffWray-t4z no disrespect but americas and englands way are different and I worked with my dad from a similar age and our blocks work out to 18” long so 11 5/8 wouldn’t work anyway
@JeffWray-t4z5 ай бұрын
@RosierConstruction NO disrespect taken, lad. I'd think that if you added an additional 2" ot would probably be the same. As a rule of thumb in America, never put a 4" cut in the lead. Obviously you guys do things a little different, but I still have respect for anyone who does this rat race trade!! IT'S HARD WORK!! And you need to be somewhat good at math. Good luck in your adventures in masonry!!

That’s a spread to die for mate. Is that an 11inch narrow London or 12?

A deduction of 1 point for using that chipped block

Sorry I let you down 😔 but unfortunately if I left out every block out like that there’d be none to lay, quality is shocking with them at the moment
