I love going out to Block Island too! Never enough time to stay there. prefer docking around old Harbor though A lot more convenient to town.

These videos require a lot of preparation. In the Block Island video, we only used about 25% of the video we shot and it takes days to sort and file all of it. For the shots taken while underway, we really can't see what we are photographing and often discard shots because of the sun or because the camera was aimed poorly. We love to look back on much of that footage later after boating season, but for KZbin, we learned long ago that 30 seconds of the sea in Block Island Sound is more than enough. We publish these videos for our own pleasure and for a small group of friends who follow our blog, silverton34c.blogspot.com. We appreciate your comments and look forward to posting more boating videos in the future.

We deal with this every year. We're both getting older and the "Admiral" can't move around on deck as well as she used to. But, what the hell. Heading out to see Cliff again in a few weeks. I'll give him your best!

Sure, who cares if the old boat gets a scratch or two? It's supposed to be something we enjoy and we certainly do.

Thank you for showing me Payne’s marina. Definitely will need a bow thruster. where do you fuel there?
@williamlarge89554 жыл бұрын
Payne's has gas and diesel at the pumps right at the flagpole. Lots of fuel nearby, too (Montauk, etc.)

How much to dock there? I know it's by foot
@actthree345 жыл бұрын
This summer (2019) Payne's is charging $4.75 per foot for a 34 ft. boat like ours. It's more if your boat is bigger. It's still one of the best places to visit in Southern New England, in our opinion.
