Industry standard for std hole size is 1/16 + Dia. of bolts

Karthik, you'r absolutely right! i accidentally used 1/8". I'll have to update with a note - great catch!

d+1/8" is correct. For yielding and rupture check, use effective hole dia. = bolt dia. + 1/8"; for tearout check at holes, use hole dia. = bolt dia. + 1/16"; for bearing check at holes, use bolt dia. Checked with Manual Table 9-3a, b, c, the video got correct answer.

so if this plate had 2 entire holes, you'd also draw the diagram to half of the last bolt? (making it 1 and a half )
