I can’t thank you enough Pat for your comment about taking 10 minutes per day to see. Today I had an hour between chores and an appointment. I said I’m seeing. I am so happy. I never realized how sewing makes me happy. Glad to be back and thank you for all you do for us

Me too! You summed it up well. I had been ignoring a quilt that I'm hand quilting and yesterday, after Pat's comment, I got home and did 15 minutes of quilting. Nice to be back and I'm sure the baby I'm doing the quilt for will be happy if it gets to her before she goes to school!

You say "caramel" because that's the correct way to say it, and in the correct context. It's a candy or a light brown color. "Carmel" is a geographic location. I've had that book on my wishlist for awhile and you just convinced me that I need it. Thank you :)

Another tip for using a jelly roll, if you have a few strips that don’t give you enough contrast with your background or distribute the colors enough, swap in some of your scrap or stash strips that work better!

I printed out all the pages for this sew a long. I'm having loads of fun with this one. However the one paper says block 1 in September. I had already made the first block so I thought I was ahead of the game this time 😂. I love the book and had already made 4 quilts out of it. So I'm so happy that this sal is from 1 of my favorite books. 😊

I used to make jelly roll cakes. You cook the sponge in the jelly roll pan, turn it out on a towel and roll it up. While it cools, it gets it form. You spread the jelly and roll it back up and place on a serving plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. The slices do resemble a Moda fabric Jellyroll.

I have 2 bathroom suction handles that I use on my large rules - cheaper than the quilting handles of the same size and so handy to use 🤩

I like the ruler handle, it is great for large rulers and u can get a good grip on them to avoid sliding..have fun.

I love this years Liberty Box. I actually got mine the day before this video! I’m anxious to try the ruler handle. I love the quilt included and the small star!

I use the large Gypsy suction handle on my 12 1/2” x 24 1/2” ruler when I’m cutting fabric. The handle makes it a lot easier to hold that big ruler in place when I cut across the width of fabric. And the handle makes it easier to move the ruler to the next cutting spot.

for me it depends on the size of the ruler whether or not I use a handle. for large rulers it helps a lot, smaller ones I guess I’m just used to manually handling the rulers.
