That was such an interesting job to watch, but feel sad for Gav because it took so long and he said he had a busy day ahead, and maybe a cyclone. A reminder of the importance of all workers in our communities who keep us healthy and our lives ticking over in relative comfort.

Love the videos. Not much use for that particular service where I'm at as everything runs off the grass into the streets. 2 quick things... 1. For a cleaner end result, when digging use a small tarp to put dirt/mud and sod on. 2. I'd have tried taping a small hook in the camera to try and dislodge the obstructions. While I'm not in the same business, I have some of the same issues.

They called those toys "Madballs" and they came out around mid 1980's. When I was young and still in early primary school, they were all the rage. There would be regular meetings in the playgrounds where the kids with better off families would trade their duplicates for either other madballs or even tuckshop money from their parents. Never really got into them myself (single parent family and I was the eldest boy), probably due to knowing that my dad would not buy what he regarded as junk (he used a different word, but I am toning it down somewhat). It was back before pokemon, monsters in my pocket, didn't even have mobile phones or household computers. The good old days, when if you told your parents you were bored, they made you do extra homework for academic credit or household chores, so us kids, we used every opportunity to get out of the house and play in the sun... 😁

Actually it's from a Subway promo Called Battle Balls back in 1995. If you look them up, that Ball was actually Red at one point. And it was 1 of 4 that you could get!

Yeeessssssss! I finally found where/when the Penetrator Ball joined the team! Fun fact, that Ball was actually 1 of 4 "Battle Balls" you could get at Subway (Eat Fresh) back in 1995. Weird thing is, that Ball only came in Red, so either the color wore off or it was a misprint of sorts! But yeah, I can understand how some people mistook it for a Madball but they were more abnoxious and gory looking! Altogether it is a great video! I'm almost halfway through all of your videos! (Not going in order, but plan to watch them all!)

When I first saw the site I thought it might have been energex or Telstras fault. Both are so close to the storm water pipe. Just another reason why you should have leaf / gutter covers on your roof. Kids throw balls and they end up on the roof then down the down pipe.

Just wondering Gavin if the homeowner can get reimbursed from Telstra or whoever for the repair work, because there is no way that junction pit was put in without that drain being uncovered, they probably dropped the fit on the drain causing it to displace and eventually break.
