Here in NZ we’d a large puddle forming a couple days before Xmas in the outdoor BBQ patio coming from the main gully off the house. The plumber I called in rod rammed the pipe to the main but nothing could move. There was a manhole plate to the sewer on our property (which is at the bottom of a hill, maybe 200+ homes)... plumber pops the hefty iron lid & instantly unleashed a 2ft high torrent that poured forth with amazing power into the patio. It took us both standing on the plate to wedge it down again & he called in the haz-mat specialists from Council. The entire street was backed up & yeah... neighbours bamboo hedge roots had blocked an entire main. Our place was declared a hazard zone as a 5 man crew detoxed & cleaned up. I have never dreamed I’d see our patio waist deep in ours & other people’s stuff. Opening manhole covers, not good....

This guy is either lucky ALOT or has the amazing ability to drop a very flexible hose down a 10 foot pipe and magically be able to get the hose down the pipe and to turn into a 90 degree angle to the other pipe...it’s crazy and satisfying every time 👍
