I did a job recently where the block paving around a manhole in the parking area on a fairly new estate was collapsing. When we lifted the paving around the cover we discovered. although they had put a 40ton cover on for the bin lorries to drive over, they'd got a too small cover for the manhole size so had laid a piece of 18mm marine ply under the blocks with the cover resting on that! Of course the ply was finally rotting and everything was collapsing, how the manhole cover held out god knows. We got a sheet of 20mm steel cut out and laid that under the block paving, what should have been done to begin with. Unbelievable what some contractors do to get over problems!

Should u have a continuous flow of water in your sewage pipes as mine are dry but my neighbour has a continuous flow in her
@moconnell66327 күн бұрын
There are only a few things which would cause a continuous flow (without it being a leak), like a condensing boiler or a reverse osmosis water filter. The most likely cause is a toilet fill valve allowing water to run past into the bowl overflow. It's worth investigating a leak like that. It could save a lot of water from being wasted.
