That's a good contractor. "Don't use your tool. There's no guard. Let's use mine." He's a man that wants no accidents at his job site.
@MittyNuke13 жыл бұрын
He doesn't want video of unsafe work at his site... looks like a professional/big job, probably liability reasons. Guy was nice enough about it though, providing his own gear when needed.

@@MittyNuke1 right, a big commercial site like that can probably be fined steeply, even if no injury occurs.

Sadly the tool he used doesn't have a dead mans switch. So it could still cause an accident
@djarcforceable3 жыл бұрын
Meanwhile he runs the grinder without using a face shield. Dunno how the regs are in Australia but I know in the US, OSHA requires that you have a guard on the grinder, that you wear safety glasses and that you also wear a grinding shield. So, Mr. Safety here seems like maybe he doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.
@throttlebottle59063 жыл бұрын
@@djarcforceable to be fair, the solid steel blade with bonded diamond grit will likely never ever explode. the bonding and grit? sure it breaks off eventual in microscopic pieces. the pipe losing a chunk would be the biggest concern and that's very unlikely. now a composite cutoff-wheel is another story!

gotta give it to Subbie (???). It's his workplace and he makes sure a) there isn't more damage than necessary to his construction site (cut where you don't sus water), don't cause a secondary problem (avoid sand getting into pipe), give the guy actually doing the work freedom to make it most comfortable for him (cut a bigger hole) and still care about the safety of the people directly or indirectly working for him. He uses his brain and his heart. not too many people do that nowadays...
As a gentleman, Ollie leaves the scene to help out a woman in trouble. Luckily Ratty guards the construction site.
