Atleast these guys have technology, in India people actually dive into the sewers wearing a rope so someone can pull them out to unclog with their hands ,and are paid like next to nothing.

This ladies and germs is why you never pour grease down a drain. Also, don't use "flushable" wipes. The fact they are wet and still stay together means you shouldn't be putting it in a small pipe.

different country different people. some just know how to work around others. also being Asian culture they tend to walk a lot even down alleys and near workers all the time. also this is not a manhole so no real safety issue. its a sump pipe not even a main so not even that big. 8 in. access 4 in. pass. the only thing getting hurt there would be kids or animals and you see none.
@CaughtSlackin_2 жыл бұрын
@@colby9743 means just watch your step not hey you are not allowed to be near it. thats what a fence is for and obviously these guys work with people around all the time and dont care that others are around because they are also filming.
@tobiasziesmann17202 жыл бұрын
I'm also gonna guess that the people present were neighbors or even the owners from where the waste water was flowing from, so if that were the case it would actually be encouraged that they watched and learn so that they don't make the same mistake again.
@ApartmentKing662 жыл бұрын
BamBamBoo Yaaj I'm with you on that one. Not only do these workers need room to do what they have to do, move equipment around and such, but the putrid stuff that's in these pipes is also a biohazard and those lookie-lous and passersby don't have the protective gear that the workers have on if the stuff splashes like it did at 7:19. I wouldn't want to be blamed for their getting dysentery.

This reminds me earlier this year when my house had the septic tank drained. The tank has not been drained since the house completion shortly after 9/11, the evidence was that the supposedly ceramic tile manhole "cover" was actually cemented to death, we had to hammer the cover open to access the tank. (disgusting alert) . . . . . . . Inside the tank was a huge pile of hardened black "you know what it is" compound, when the draining tanker guy vacuum the stuff out, it sounded like rock. Surprisingly the smell isn't that bad, consider it was a 20 yo deposit in a 500L tank.

I have to say, I've watched 20+ videos already. The drain cleared last night lol. You all do an excellent job for sure. I can't help but be a little jealous of the design of all these drain systems. Code there I'm sure or just how its done. The piping all looks brand new once you clear it like it's coated with something special. And all the drain access places!! That's awesome. Not to take away from how hard your job is at all. Its just awesome that you have so many ports to break your work down into sections and eliminate areas. Around my area we have ZERO access to anything other than maybe a knock out plug here and there someone added. Mine wouldn't fit facing the open wall in my garage bathroom so whoever did it, actually pointed it backwards, toward a finished wall and behind the hot water heater!!! Who puts a knock out plug behind a wall you cant even cut your way into???
