I still have my Crosman model 1100 CO2 shotgun from the 70's. It held 2 CO2 cartridges, and fired these little plastic shells filled with birds hot. It was alot of fun, although I haven't shot it in years. I remember shooting .38 caliber lead slugs, too. I don't think Crosman makes that model anymore.

Advances in air guns are amazing. I vaguely remember years ago one of the air gun manufacturers came out with an air powered shotgun..I think it was Daisy. I think the bore diameter was comparable to .38 caliber or so. I think it was C02 powered. It came complete with miniature plastic 'clay targets' that had break away outer rings (the entire target didn't shatter); when the target was struck the outer ring would break away indicating a hit. That gun was not designed for hunting use; velocity was too low. It was an interesting piece at the time but more of a novelty. I don't believe it lasted long on the market..I would imagine now an example in good shape might be a collector item.

I hunt with a vintage airgun you may know of, the Crosman 1100 trapmaster. The shells can be reloaded with 3/8 size musket balls, clay slingshot bals, and most shotshell shot size. Uses 2 Co2 cartridges

I still own the gun you're referring to! It was a Crosman, model 1100 CO2 shotgun. It held 2 CO2 cartridges, and it had a low- power, and a high-power lever. On high power, it was plenty powerful! It fired small plastic shells filled with birdshot at about 650 f.p.s. or so. The CO2 cylinders would last at least 50 or more shots on high-power, so you never really had to worry about running out of power. Lot of fun! I don't imagine Crosman still makes that model anymore. For a gun that I used so much as a kid, and being from the early 70's, mine is still in reasonably good condition! If someone was looking for one of those, let me know! I'd sell it for a reasonable price.

This thing works if you land a few pellets because i have read it only takes around 4 ft/lbs of energy to kill a squirl if you hit vitals.

i think you can get some big preys using arrows with that pcp shotgun, bone breaker tips would do big damage in a spinal shot, hearth or lung shots with expansion tips definitely will be devastating

Ty for this video. This is the first vid with the Wingshot that I’ve seen it used in a practical hunting scenario. How this gun would be used in the field and at practical ranges. So the question really is, is this $700 gun good enough to hunt small game and birds or should one invest in a $1500 air shotgun? Done a bunch of research into this and everything combined especially with your vid I’d say this gun meets the minimum in power and range to affectively hunt. I hope you put out more vids with this gun using it as a shotgun to see what its capabilities really are. This has been very helpful!
