Blowgun Hunting Rabbits with Cold Steel Blowgun!

Had a toy blowgun when I was a kid. It was 4 ft long and had rubber tipped darts, like a toy dart gun. I took the tips off and put pins through them for shooting balloons at over 20 ft. Amazing how accurate a blowgun is. Instead of just blowing through it, you get more power if you start your blow with the letter T. Like whispering the word "Too" as hard as you can. Excellent you can actually shoot critters with it. I don't think they're legal here in NY. Where are you? Great rabbit habitat, also scarce in NY state. Also, would be cool if you would zoom in on the rabbit with the camera before you shoot so we could see what you are shooting at.

Awesome! I've never seen anyone hunt with a blowgun, you are pretty good with it. I wonder if you could get squirrels over corn? I made a blowgun when I was a kid. I used Electrical EMT, shotgun wads and finishing nails. It would sink them into a light pole up to the wad. Never got to hunt with it, but I sure wanted to try.

no better time then now. Id make dart out of anything. shiskabob wooden skewers and old dremel bits when they used to have the plastic rings on em. melt em into a skirt. went right thru two sheet rock layers. lol.

Nicely done! I got a deer mouse a week or two ago. The thing was irritating me by running around my enclosed front porch. I was able to hit him with a direct front shot from a mini-broadhead.

I've been cutting the broad head darts in half , they seem to fly better for me. I haven't hunted with them , but my thinking is the cone should pop off anyways so dart will pass through. What do you think?

I think cutting them in half would be best for accuracy and speed. It might get less penetration after the cone pops off because the dart would have less weight.

@@blockethoutdoors Watching Tim "The Slockmaster" Wells in his vids, he mentions loosening up the cone prior to shooting with it so that the dart will punch all the way through. I just bought me a 5' blowgun a few weeks ago and have been practicing every day with it. Getting anxious to give it a go. Good hunting to you

That is a great video I've done some blow darts and tournaments at the bar with a blow dart gun on the dart board they are a lot smaller than yours but I did pretty well they went in real deep but you're trying to shoot through brush and limbs and you did a damn good job I wish you would have did a catch and cook or a shooting cook hunt cook whatever you want to call it I wish you to show us how to cook these rabbits I love rabbit it's so good but thank you for a great video and keep doing more dark catch and cook videos cuz that is really cool God bless you and your family and good luck I will definitely keep watching you I subscribed and liked already thank you for a good video.
