Before DRL’s(daylight running lights) motorcycle headlights really stuck out from the cars. With most cars now with DRL’s motorcycle headlights lost in the crowd. Yellow anything especially high lumen yellow will separate motorcycles from cars.

Hopefully Haley has switched over to lightweight LFP LITHIUM IRON BATTERIES.lithium batteries are lighter, no corrosion, no hydrogen gas, last 4-5 times longer, higher cranking amps, full power til almost 0%(lead acid batteries weak at only 70%) no trickle charger needed(only lose 1 %of charge/month vs per 1% per day with lead acid, longer warranty, etc.

The biggest thing is the OEM is held to the maximum values allowed by FMVSS108 for both hi and low beam. The LP6, an awesome light for what its designed for, is still technically not allowed for on road use. Do note an officer can right you a ticket for illegal lights depending on the officers knowledge and how they decide to apply federal/state/county laws. I did see Baja Designs did show a DOT/Road legal LP6 at SEMA 2023, but I can't find them on their site currently, and the ones in the video look like the off-road only versions. One being drive/combo and the other being spot, it appears. I'm not bashing it, it looks amazing and typically motorcycle headlights have always sucked for on road performance. This is just an FYI for everyone on the legality side of lighting design.

I’m curious is there a limit to how bright your headlights can be. Personally yes I like to be seen with plenty of light but honestly I think that’s to bright. Would you want to have that coming at you. It would literally blind you and you could loose control. Now I’d rather have more lighting behind me.

I had Baja LEDS on my 2 previous performance baggers and I am done with them. I do love the new headlight on my CVO ST and it is DOT approved and super bright but the A-10 Moto LEDS do look good as well.

These lights are intended for off-road use. Baja Designs does offer an SAE option for the LP6 on the other hand though.

A10, actually sets the angle of the beam at an angle that allows for full visibility without interfering with oncoming traffic, if you have not adjusted the degree of the light beam, as stated in the directions they actually have a measurement set on the bracket it self to make it easy.

Nope, Custom Dynamics is DOT, but definitely not brighter or better. Baja Designs is where its at for lumen output... the LP6's are 11,250 each! Custom Dynamics is about half of that, and doesn't have the 200* throw to cover the ditches.

Custom Dynamics setup won't hold a candle to the output or coverage of the Baja LP6s and S1's. I have a single LP6 and a set a S2 pros on my FXLRST and nothing out performs the Baja's in the dark of night.
