I'm in awe of the colors you choose and the straight edges. Blocking is perhaps a way to help my awful attempts.

Thanks so much, blocking can really help give it that finishing touch. And once you develop your system it doesn't take that long

Thank you for this tutorial! I just ordered the foam squares and never knew you could stack the granny squares. This is so helpful. 😊

That is awesome, I hope you like them as much as I do, they are so handy and stacking them is so helpful, because there are often alot of squares to do.

I’ve never blocked squares before as I’m very novice but this is something I will progress to doing. Thank you for your explanation.

Thank you, I'm learning crochet and the granny square has been very intimidating for me because of the whole blocking process. Thanks to your tutorial I think I'm ready to give them a try 😊❤

Like others have said, I, too, like the combination of colors you. Thought this was a great video, and it was easy to follow. Would it be possible to do a video sometime on the different contents of yarn and how they block I know you said you usually use acrylic for your things you're going to give away and I thought acrylic didn't need to be blocked or wouldn't block well. So new to process....so much too learn😂
@jspcreate4 ай бұрын
So glad you like it. That is a great suggestion. Yarns do block very different depending on their content. Acrylic can easily get away without blocking because it has alot more spring back and resilience, Easy Care! Natural fibres will react differently. But all fibres can be crushed if steamed too much. This would make a good video!

I don’t always block but when I do, I prefer to steam block

I do like the steam method, faster really, not so much drying time.

Hi How to join the granny square when the last round is the basic granny square stitch the cluster of 3 dc , I saw the video of ur joining the granny square how to use same technique in the basic stitch and you put up the tutorial

I do have a join as you go tutorial for using the join with a solid square, but not with the original classic granny squares. I would probably just skip every second stitch.

Thank you for showing us how to block! I have never blocked but I’m going to in the future. I have a big nice steamer just for these 🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶 I just love your colors in ur blankets all of them🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶

So glad you liked this, I didn't block at first, because mostly I was just impatient, but it really can help with the finished look and feel. Awesome you have a steamer already.
