see whenever you use the slice curve tool, how do you get it to mirror over symmetrically to the opposite side?
@dexterousd6 ай бұрын
found it. For anyone else unsure. Go to DEFORMATION - MIRROR, then go into MODIFY TYPOLOGY - MIRROR AND WELD and in this case it's on the X axis (there's 3 tiny letters top right, turn on X).

@@dexterousd Hi, have a look at my UI Tutoriol where I show all these features that I use all the time and what Hotkeys I use for them. Hope this helps :)

Wouldn't it have been faster to do a quick retopology of the decimated part, placing the loops where needed and using subdivision?
@new-mech10 ай бұрын
it depends on the complexity of the part. but generally I think this process is faster and more enjoyable as well.

hey! how do you make camera perpendicular to gizmo?
@new-mech10 ай бұрын
Hey! After Alt-clicking a surface, I move the camera perpendicular to the Gizmo axis so that it points towards me. You can also shift-blick an axis, and it sometimes does the trick, but it only sometimes works.

For straight lines just hold down Shift.

That panel cut brush and the trim front brush look so useful, is there a link to anywhere I can buy them?
@new-mech10 ай бұрын
the panel cut brush is from Mike Nashs' Gumroad and the trim front brush can be found in the trim folder brushes folder in the light box :)

@@new-mech Amazing, thanks man, really appreciate it and love the work you do. Can't believe I missed that brush in the trim folder ha!

cool video, for creating mesh for videogame after this stage you usually go with a retopo or you just use zremesh or decimate for create the low poly and bake the hig after?
@new-mech7 ай бұрын
I only do concept/ high poly work professionally. But usually the artists working with my meshes retopo it in Maya/Max/Blender for later baking in Substance or Marmorset. Decimation for Retopo is really helpful as well.

bro can i ask you why sometimes when im sculpting rocks or hard surface trim smooth border with the quad alpha behaves like a trim dynamic brush letting soft spots around the edge which i hate tbh. So far when working with tablet pencil i have to click with the mouse to get that hard result on edges or skip trimp brushes and go directly to mallet fast2 to hammer the edge which sometimes is not optimal. Do u know if there is some pressure setting or something that i can modify?
@new-mech10 ай бұрын
you can go in the Brush Tab and go the Table Pressure. There you can adjust the Intensity and Brush Size curve :)

How did you create those straight lines with the paint brush? It looked like lazy mouse but at the same time it didn't...
@new-mech10 ай бұрын
I have lazy mouse turned on for my paint brush, set to level 1. with lazy mouse enabled you can press down shift to create a straight line from a starting to end point.
@therealKrak10 ай бұрын
@@new-mech Ah! Now I see the Lazy Mouse settings in your custom UI. The way you painted looked like the LazyRadius changed with each stroke and especially in the corners it seemed like you toggled off LazyMouse, but now it all makes perfect sense. Thank you very much for the response!
