I suggest you offset your real estate and get into stocks, A recession as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets if you’re careful and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. This is not financial advise but get buying, cash isn’t king at all in this time!

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and I return at least $30k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

You got valid points though Inflation is dilapidating. Quite sad what's happening in the market. Although, even the worst recessions offer wonderful buying opportunities in the markets if you're cautious. Volatility can also result in excellent short-term buy and sell opportunities. The market circumstances are driving me insane, my portfolio has lost almost $13K this month alone, my earnings are tanking. I'd appreciate some financial advice from anyone who knows more going forward.

There are good days and bad days. It's a zero-sum game, but keep this advice in mind: spend wisely, invest wisely, and diversify your holdings so that when one performs poorly, the others do as well. This can be accomplished by hiring a knowledgeable specialist whose platform provides a wide range of investment options. By doing so, you leave little room for regrets and may even gain more.

People do downplay the importance of expert counsellors up until they experience the consequences of their errors. I wanted to stay afloat between the COVID outbreak and my early 2020 layoff, so I started looking for license advisors. My previously stagnant $325K reserve has so far created significant returns from subsequent investments owing to expert leadership by my FA, who can be found online. I was fortunate to come across someone with her level of practical knowledge and years of experience.

Do you get the sense that the guest is misinformed? My understanding was that once unemployment starts rising, it usually means that the bottom of the recession has already come, and that unemployment is a lagging indicator. And the notion that stock prices need to fall in order for unemployment to rise clearly hasn't been true thus far, since unemployment has been rising along with stock prices (or at least the major indices). It seems like this would require the majority of employment comes from large public companies that have CEO's that need to maximize share options, and most employment actually comes from SME's, in my understanding. There were a few other head scratchers that didn't quite add up to me, but I would need to revisit the video to find them.

We didn't have people refusing to come to work because the government chose to steal from tax payers and pay them more to stay home than go to work. We didn't have a problem getting the fruit picked or the lawns mowed or the hotel rooms cleaned before senileoleJoeBribem took over. We have an immigration system that allows educated skilled professionals to come to work. We didn't have nor did we need one that opened the border and allowed 10 to 15 million uneducated, unskilled, diseaseridden dregsdrugsmugglersmurders andterrorists to saunter across the border and bankrupt US entitlement programs.

Julian misses a crucial point. A soft landing isn't at all impressive or rare if you take into account the trillion-dollar deficits the US has been running in recent years. The eight recessions he references did not share this characteristic; during those times, the US government was not overspending by a trillion dollars annually. Such immense fiscal expenditure has certainly cushioned the economy and might've even prevented a downturn altogether - for now. It's akin to having one foot on the brake and two on the accelerator - a strategy reminiscent of the flawed economic policies often seen in Latin America (add on top of that the stupid industrial policy stuff). From that perspective, the US is experiencing a gradual decline, and the dollar is poised to suffer significantly. Servicing a trillion dollars a year in debt servicing costs amid contracting fiscal spending will push this artificially stimulated economy into a severe recession. Conversely, if fiscal spending continues unchecked, public debt will explode, and the debt-to-GDP ratio will reach 160% before 2030. Either way, that'll be fun. Buy hard assets.

Felix loses massive credibility when he talks about corporations gouging consumers. Many holes in that argument. He sounds like a classic socialist/European. 1. Corporations are businesses designed to maximize their profit and return to shareholders. Narrative of "greed" instantly you're getting emotional and labelling a non-living entity. 2. Greed and fear are part of all humans nature, not just the rich or corporations. 3. Corporations always have and always will try to maximize profit. Putting into socialist terms - corporations didn't suddenly become more greedy since Corona. 4. Corporations have been able to jack prices because consumers were paid by governments to not work. Economies were shut down and people had excess savings increase massively. These distortions created huge demand by consumers to spend spend spend. Only now as consumers reaching their limits and corporations seeing demand go down, hence they're far less able to raise prices these right now. 5. A worthy discussion about corporations making record profits are the creations of oligopolies through the formation of moats by lobbying government officials to protect their businesses. This isn't capitalism this is corporatism. Some would call it fascism - the merging of big businesses and government.

I really appreciate this comment. However, it seems like splitting hairs and trivially semantic. Would you rather they say CEO's got greedy rather than corporations? Does it really make much difference? Also, what issue is there with saying corporations got greedy, when you admit yourself that everyone is greedy and fearful at times (as per human nature)? Is a corporation, controlled by humans, supposed to be exceptional in this regard? I don't get why a corporation should be compartmentalized from it's human constituents, which it seems is your view.
