There are 26 different arabic versions of quran( u can google it), which one is real?, means it's not word of God. Mohammd has disobeyed all commandments of God, which means he disobeyed God himself. Mohammd has killed, raped, did child marriage, married his sons wife, owned sex slaves and so on. Mohammd drastically died from poison, a very normal human. Even God didn't warn him and mohammd can't predict his future. Mohammd can't predict his own future, how will he predict his followers future? Jesus predicted his death and resurrection, that happened. Jesus himself said he is the Son of God. Jesus said he will be next to his father in heaven. Jesus has done godly miracles like giving life to one month old dead body and many similar ones.

Its good to see English speaking people becoming muslim. Our language was replaced by English after colonisation, as a result we speak English as a major language and this has resulted in creating a distance between us and our religion(islam), because our Native scholars educate us with the native tounge. Or Muslims just say the bible is corrupted becoz if the bible is true, then the Quran is false so they don't have any option. As a someone who is from Somalia and Islam has stayed with us since 1400 years ago when our prophet Muhammad received his revelation and his sahaba coming to the land of Abyssinia. Alhamdulilah for those sahaba passing through Somalia Abyssinia and our forefathers have stayed Islam since then and I am proud of our ancestors. May Allah guide the whole world to the deen of Islam I would love to see everyone enter Jannah. As someone who is born Muslim I love watching and listening from two reverts and learn from them that’s the beauty of Islam. Islam is for everyone it’s the only religion that belongs to Allah. This is such a beautiful discussion. Thank you Paul for inviting this bright gentleman. I was born Muslim, but of course theodolite my life I have researched and looked into other religions in order to make sure that I am not simply blindly following the religion of my parents. And that has led me to strengthen my faith as a Muslim, and taught me how to learn more within Islam. I am so happy as well that both of you did not decide to change your name into Arabic names, which I find to be completely unnecessary, and might be off putting to others outside Islam, because it may only make the non muslims look into the religion as a brainwashing cult-like movement that force people to let go of their traditions and culture adopt another, and also that Islam cannot fit and work in every time and every place. Absolutely. I am troubled by the fact that some muslims who were raised as such seem to unfortunately adopt islam as some sort of folklore or a national identity as opposed to an objective system of believes. This sadly is enabled in many parts of the muslim world by the fact that existential questions or complex questions of "Aqeedah" or creed can be taboos, this of course has inevitably led to identity problems and an attraction to modern western individualistic values among muslim youths. A possible crisis I'm afraid.

This is very interesting, as an Arab muslim, we unfortunately lack these indepth philosophical talks when it comes to religion, maybe because most shaikhs don't read philosophy where I'm from, it's very interstate to hear converts or nonarabs speak about islam in such a deep way, it's very much mind opening and makes me want to go buy some books. I wish Jumaa khutbas can be like this more philosophical more thought provoking instead the usual repeated preaching which we all memorize by now.

Brother, in both Egypt and the UAE there are hundreds of discussions and talks, and many of the Khutbahs in both these nations that delve deep into the philosophical and spiritual aspects of Islam. They come with historical sources from the Sahaba, and the great thinkers and scholars of Islam. I know this very well because I am half Egyptian and half Emirati, live in UAE and regularly visit Egypt and witness it all regularly. It's just simply that it is not broadcast on KZbin or social media. It is however available live in person or in academic circles both online and on-site. The problem with today's Ummah is they spend too much time on KZbin and social media and unfortunately some, only get their Islam from these.

@amilitarymind this might be the case for Egypt, Egypt has Al Azhar after all that's expected. I'm from Kuwait. We only have the Salafi rhetoric, bidaa, respect perants, read quran, pray in time rinse and repeat, it's just preaching without anything thought provoking or deep meaning. So it makes the average muslim here pretty ignorant without any real deep understanding of Islam. Just this year, we had like 5 Khutbas about Bidaa, and they're all exactly the same separted by a week or two about another subject. The Khutbas never goes any more advanced than what we learned in middle school.

No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. Flesh gives birth to flesh and spirit to spirit.... Muhammed cannot save you, the original spiritual death in the garden (which you dont believe in) has to be reversed.... Jesus did that by what he did on the cross... ..you can be born again and filled with the Holy spirit and have a new power to live it... to overcome so that you wont be hurt by the 2nd death... Heaven will be a new earth put back to how this one was created but only those who are born again will go there.....

As did Constantin did for Christianity . Then Christians were being persecuted and now Muslims are being persecuted globally . As a Muslima, can you explain to me the very shameful issue of virgins available in Islamic janna for each Muslim male. Can you tell me why didn't Jesus mention in the bible that a crowd of virgins is waiting only for men who will enter heaven. Why did Jesus say in the last day, those who will enter heaven will become like angels and that they will not marry. Did Allah change his mind that humans who enter heavens can not only be satisfied by eternal peace and joy but must be added 1000 virgins each since Islamic janna humans will enter as humans still with their evil sexual desires. Just imagine while you are having eternal s-x with your virgins and shouting and declaring ALLAH AKBAR endlessly. Just imagine Allah being satisfied watching his followers involved with eternal sexual orgies without break. 🥴, does it even make sense to you as a muslim. Don't forget Jesus said we will be like the angels. Do angels need houris or virgins too, according to your Allah??. Don't forget Allah didn't give you assurances that if you make it to janna and your mother or sister or aunt makes it to janna. The 1000virgins that will be pimped out to you by your Allah, how sure are you your mother or aunt or sister won't mistakenly be given back to you to deflower eternally.?? I am impressed with this person who has managed to separate the Islamic faith from its Arabic Cultural baggage! I was always sorry to see European and American converts wearing beards and arab robes , alienating themselves from their environment and families, creating the impression of " otherness " to Islam. The beauty of Islam is its tolerance and universality. In fact an important Muslim scholar defines Islam as the belief in the One God , in the Resurrection and Judgement on the Day. This of course will lead one to take a moral and responsible attitude, and to accept the trials and tribulations of one's worldly existence. Mu'meneen ( the believers ) are those who accept the Qur'an as the inspired word of God and that Mohammed (pbuh) is his prophet and Messenger to mankind. The believers live their lives according to the requirements of their faith as outlined and practiced by the Messenger. So, All prophets and believers in the One God from Adam onwards, are Muslims (like us).

May God forgive you. Why are you "sorry" that European Muslims are adopting the Prophets' Sunnah? Then you slyly mixed up a mandate(beard) with a cultural thing(robes). You say "cultural baggage" but I say it's a fancy word for legitimizing mental colonialism. The British replaced our own fashion with theirs and anything else is looked down upon. What kind of culture is this? Islam is for the whole mankind and Allah has made it easy for everyone to follow. Having said that, our cultures and expression must operate within the confines of an Islamic framework. Any cultural aspect that dilutes the religion is rejected.

As Jacob is engaged in his PhD on the relationship between Islam and politics wished to suggest an important book from the early days of Islam which should be helpful for your research work on this subject. The book is Nahjul Balagha which is a compilation of the sayings, letters and sermons of Imam Ali (a.s.) Within this book is an important letter (even recognised by the United Nations) addressed to his representative Malik Al Ashtar who he had sent to be the new governor of Egypt. The letter gave him instructions and advice regarding the most appropriate ways in which he should exercise his rule over the different “classes” of citizens - in order to best perform the responsibilities of his new political leadership role with justice and equity.
