When Brooks Scored I watching it on the TVs at The Bistro I work at. I Did the Same thing My Boss Did When The 49ers lost the SuperBowl. Got Up when fuck this Stormed into the Kitchen. Had Nothing to do. I So made lunch Watched The Broncos Chooks Game I did the Same thing Afterwards stormed in coz Im knocked out of one of my tipping Comps. 🤦‍♂️Didn't even last 2 Games.

@@s035034 he just seems like a genuinely nice person who’s copped lots of unwarranted criticism. Yes he was on big dollars, but Tigers were willing to pay that and the rest of the team didn’t allow Brooks to excel. You could tell he wasn’t enjoying footy at all, he’d be over the moon with a try and a win in Vegas. He’s a player with potential and I don’t like seeing talented players being wasted and criticised, he deserves a good opportunity at a new club and I’m happy he’s found that at Manly.

I went down to Vegas with my best mate from Vancouver Canada. I've been a fan for a long time. (Since Joey was still playing) I've watched many many many games on TV but seeing live is another world The speed of the game was impressive. Defence outstanding. Skill level off the charts... Seeing it live is a must. Congrats to the NRL. PS....saw Jack Wighton playing blackjack....access to the athletes was cool.

I think the Nrl/Fox really missed a great opportunity to put a past NFL player or someone who’s associated with the NFL as part of the commentating team. It would’ve been so awesome to hear an American who hasn’t really watched the nrl before react to the brutality of the hits and the skill of Joey’s flick pass alongside the Australian Fox commentators

Crazy to think that with Saabs break and the bombed try by DCE, Turbos knock on over the line and disallowed try that was planted short + Brookes knock on over the line and about 3 players held up over the line, Manly could’ve very easily put 50+ points on a pretty strong side.

Plus Saab’s catch that he mistimed near the try line, Tommy batting the ball forwards when the support was on. The attacking potential is frightening, just need to stop giving up easy points

I’ve been one of those casuals who for the last 2 years followed 1 club and only watched highlights videos to see the results of games I didn’t care about. After Vegas though it’s definitely swayed me 😂 I was keeping up with all the media content coming out and players IG stories thinking what a spectacle that trip must’ve been. Hope they keep this overseas season opening going

Yes to WCC going over and not a warriors fan but if NZ warriors are there . Then you would have three countries to potentially fill the stadium along with USA . You would have English people , kiwis and aussies flocking over you would maybe get 60 k next year .

Most warriors supporters don’t want them going over, not this soon atleast. We need to worry about keeping our own fans interested and growing the game here before we worry about the US viewers. I do agree however it would be great to showcase NZ in the states and filling the stadium because we know US loves the All Blacks and would be intrigued by another NZ team (not the national team but being the only NZ based side) it could easily bring in more numbers but for now our own backyard needs to grow before gaining the US fanbase.

Yeah I think that the narrative that they will have young players come out of nowhere and be able to replace those players is crazy. If it does happen it will over two or three years. Fleger and Herbie didn’t come out of nowhere they built there game over a couple of seasons and internationals/origins.

I think the fact the nrl only sent two games and only 1 was on free to air tv is a little bit Un-Australian. What about the battlers with poor or no internet access. The nrl used to be a blue collar sport think the big ventures need to be accessible for all.

Following Las Vegas games, NRL should consider narrowing the field width, caused all teams to play more direct, faster game, higher intensity, more physicality and contact. Ball in play a lot more as well due to shorter in-goal teams avoided putting the ball out.

Kempy and Timmy - How good was it that they chose Manly and Souths to go over and put on such a good spectacle Also Kemp and Timmy - We should only send over teams from the previous years top 8 otherwise the quality won't be good enough 👀😂 Understand the angle boys, we should be putting our best foot forward, but would probably argue that for engaging the US audience points are more important than quality. They're used to the stop start of NFL so stoppages aren't a concern.

Like the Vegas stuff, it was a great spectacle players did awesome. However, no one is talking enough about how Americans don’t know the difference in rugby and rugby league. I think this is actually going to do a negative on league and create a big positive for union. I really hope this works because it makes sense as our code is closer to nfl but we really got to start distinguishing the difference, and stop being delusional about how much this will grow the game. However it is a creative way to start the season and was exciting

The problem playing the world Club challenge in Vegas is where would the premiers make up that Round 1 game during the season. Also Matty the Waterboy very worrying signs out of the bunnies in that opening round all over the park, it may be round 1 but it smells of 16/17 for us.

Won pre season cup last year.. Belted the Bulldogs. Beat the previous years Grand Finalists Eels. Had a tight loss to red hot Rabbitohs who were best team of first 10 rounds last year. Manly then fell off a cliff. At Broncos won first 2 games and everyone was calling Broncos premiership threat then went on to win the spoon. Has clearly started this year fast aswell. When I say fast starter I dont mean 5-10 rounds. I mean first few.

Manly went W, BYE, W, L, D in their first 5 last year so that’s 2-1-1 (a winning record). At the end of Round 8 they were 4-1-2 & (a winning record). They were 5-1-5 at the end of Round 12 so a 50% record. They finished the season from there with 6 wins & 7 losses. An 11-1-12 record after losing half their Top 17 is a decent record when you take that into consideration.

Saying Seibold is a fast starter is not an insult. Just something to keep in mind. I’m not knocking the Sea Eagles. I thought they were great. But I predicted they would start 2024 very fast & they kind of did. That’s not a bad thing just an accurate prediction in my opinion. 🤷‍♂️ And it’s not just the result. You could physically see they were in better shape than the Rabbitohs & Broncos. And on par with the Roosters who have been openly saying since last year they are going to start fast.

How the fuck can u say the ref had a game in the broncos and roosters game he refs a different away for each team the roosters were allow the to lay and hold down the tackle the broncos weren't allow do slow the tackle had to let go straight away and the broncos were bak 12 metres every tackle and roosters were barely bak 10 metres and still being off side. So no good reffing very poor reffing

@blokeinabar the NRL should come out Earlier to announce the draw for next season so people of the teams playing have the opportunity to afford the experience. A lot of fan will go if they have the opportunity to make a holiday out of it.
