Nice shooting! Thanks Bloke, Calvin, and Bude. One of those Browning 1903/Husqvarna 1907 is on my wish list under 'Weird old gats I want for just reasons."

Another fun video! I know you don't like them much, but I find the FN 1922 to be a fascinating "kludge". Vanderlinden's "FN Browning Pistols" has a great photo of Dutch Police Troops practicing with theirs. They carried six eight-round magazines of .380 ACP (9X17mm)! It's easy to look down on the .380 today, but compared to the typical American or British .38 revolver of the day, I think I'd take the Dutch kit. It was the economy model police gun. I can only imagine what an effect the FN 1899/1900 had on the shooting world when it was introduced, especially when compared with the compact pocket revolvers of the day. When I was in Turkey in the early 80s, I saw conscripts in second-line roles carrying Sten guns.

The double action trigger pull on the first revolver seems like it would be harder to engage by accident than some modern safeties.

Budi is most definitely not a “random guy”. Amongst other things it’s thanks to him that Bloke got Calvin on the range in the first place.

a company called Bowman arms in Florida just announced it will start importing for people, i was wondering if there was a shop in Switzerland that has an export license and we could potentially get some of this in the US someday

Next try a matchlock ! All instructions will be given, all I need is the airfares from England to Switzerland and a place to sleep.its a 11gauge and it's a hoot to see people jump when the powder in the pan flair's up ,not to mention juggling with the match 👍

Calvin, I see you doing something that I do while shooting handguns. It made me wonder if your eyeglasses have progressive lenses? I also end up tilting my head back a bit to get the front sight in the right part of the lens to be in sharp focus.

It was interesting that Calvin rejected "Hollywood style" for using the Sten, and preferred the correct hold, for what was officially a "machine carbine".

Interesting to get the perspective of an experienced shooter in a realm where they haven't spent a lot of time, sorta highlights things us old gun nerds either forget or take as given for some pieces. Boy I wish the 82 revolver was better than it is. If you never shot it you'd think it was a sublime piece of engineering, but even its modest recoil highlights some failures of the backstrap and as you say, the trigger is trash. I also detest round dot post sights in all forms, but that's just a personal gripe. I've ended up scratching the .32 belt revolver itch with a cheapo H&R 732 instead since Nagants here in the States now command insane premiums and the ammo is getting harder to find.
@ralphwatten2426

I don't think Calvin has shot a Russian Nagant pistol before. The Ordnance double action pull is easy compared to that beast.
