Absolutely yes. You can apply permanent colour on the hair at the scalp to cover your greys while doing this technique. I do it all the time on clients who need it. Turns out beautifully every time.

I'm a Cosmo student but I practice my blondes all of the time. I would lower her root color and bring her highlights down. I would bring the root down with a demi & blend it into the bottom where the light hair is.

With this method, bleach never touches the scalp. If your stylist lets your hair lighten enough to a nice light blonde you can then just finish with a purple shampoo and continue using it at home. Toners usually have a very mild developer and don’t stay on for long. You can have your stylist do a test strand before use to check your reaction.

@@krystalpollock3348 thank you. I need to find a stylist who cares. I react no matter which brand it is. My allergy is the PPD 😓. Once i find a stylist i will show her this. I did find a stylist but my god she was giving me literally 10 foils only t section and calling it a high up balayage.....🙄😳 but it was so patchy i hardly had much colour. She convinced i couldn't have any other method done due to my allergy 😓. But having a hair dye allergy is very common now. I was scared to ever try anybody else also thinking nobody would be able to do my hair except her....how wrong i have been for 4 yrs! 😫.
