As a person who isn't a gan of either of these idols (as in I just don't follow them) they both look pretty washed out with blonde hair. Shuhua I haven't really seen any other pictures so I can only go on that photo but in that picture it just makes her skin dull as for Karina one of the most striking things about her is how dark hair makes her facial features pip especially her eyes. Girl has gorgeous eyes and the blonde just wipes those striking features out and makes her face look tired all the time.

Just a tip from someone whos been bleaching their hair for 15 years, smother your head in coconut oil the night before you bleach it or at least a few hours before, & leave it in while you bleach, they say its a myth that it protects the hair but i swear it helps so much!❤ Also idk if you guys prefer the more yellowly looking hair or if toner/purple shampoo is commonly used but even though i kindof liked my yellow hair & had it like that for years, its seem unfinished & kindof trashy if you dont tone it in America because of how much better we think it looks once it’s toned. Maybe that wouldve helped some of these idols, although i think they all looked beautiful & should be able to do what they want with their own hair.. ❤

First of all they all look gorgeous in blonde and can literally pull of pretty much everything. Also bleach doesn't actually kill or ruin your hair it just depends on how you take care of it or if the stylist is not using the correct supplies. Also the camera may have just been hitting her hair wrong

karina actually had to bleach her hair twice. before, comeback was planned to happen in mid-late february. for this process, back in january, karina bleached her hair. but the comeback was actually postponed to may, so she had to color her hair back and re-bleach it blond in april. i think that is where a large amount of the damage comes from.

It’s not that, it’s the stylists they use. They have shitty products. There’s no way you sat for TWO sessions and your hair is fried like that.The amount of fried hair like that is 1. Poor quality bleach and dye mixture 2. Stylist don’t know how to dye to get the best hair treatment. Because I’m pretty sure when she dyed her hair, there was just regular conditioner in her hair.

@@nillabean215 it seems hard to believe, but it's true. it actually also depends on the person's hair. i have never went as platinum as karina, but when i put bleach on my hair (especially in attempt to get platinum in 1-2 sessions) it destroyed my hair. but, you have to imagine this process twice, on top of having to use color remover (which makes the process much more damaging and expensive) for the time her hair was colored back to black. going blond had to be a gradual thing, but going as light as she did so fast was extremely damaging (especially done twice) i'm not sure who controls the idols hair color, but i think the stylist were just trying to achieve the color requested.

Karina and Shuhua are too pale for blonde hair. Having tanner skin really helps makes it look better. Good examples of it are CL & Hyoyeon. It also helps doing a natural look, because most the time it looks like crappy yellow color when it’s too bright. I have a niece who actually has natural blonde-white hair and you can tell a bad dye job by the roots, because even super blonde people have dark roots, while most these dye jobs are one color, making it look worse.

according to sources karina already bleached her hair early january because they thought their comeback would be on the first quarter of 2023 but it was moved so she had to go back to black again and bleach it back again months later hence her hair was damaged i however have to disagree about her not looking good in blonde because ive seen her a month ago with blonde hair and she looks very very gorgeous.
