I completely understand what she means when people judge you in Asia because of your hair. I'm Asian and whenever I go to an event where my mom's friends are at as well, I always get snarky little comments or judgmental looks. There's such a negative connotation that comes with coloring your hair blonde for whatever reason. I feel like this is even more apparent since I'm a guy, as well. My mom is fine with it now, but from time to time she reminds me that she likes dark hair better.

I went to a salon to get my hair bleached once(I was blonde for like 3 years) and it started BURNING on my scalp. Like my eyes were watering, my nose was tingling, it fucking hurt! I told the hairdresser, and she just told me to "itch" my scalp with the tip of the brush. When that didn't help she started to blow on my scalp. It hurt so bad. It was finished, my hair looked good. I went home and had a nap. When I woke up, I was shocked. My whole head was the beginning of one giant scab. My hair literally was sticking together at the base, because it was stuck together in this giant scab. When I say scab, I mean it was bloody and hard. Straight up scab. I'm pretty sure I had chemical burns. I was so horrified I didn't even know what to do. Apparently the woman that did my hair, was even at the top level of the salon.

it happens. some people can't take lightener on the skin. the same thing happened to me with a top notch salon. I am also in beauty school. not everyone can be perfect. and she may not have taken you seriously because some clients can be very dramatic when it comes to itching.

she may have used a 40 developer on ur scalp... 40 dev can lift up to 4 levels but is not made to be on your scalp as it does cause chemical burns... developer on ur scalp should be 10-30

Guy I have a question. I colored my hair last summer with red dye and then later my stylist did balayage and dyed over the red parts to make my hair more brown and blonde. But now no matter how much toning she does, or if I try to dye over it, it's still pretty red in sunlight. Do I have to have it bleached to get rid of the red?

Toph you have to strip it out by bleaching. or counteract the red with green or ash. it'll take a few shots. also if you have been putting a bunch colors over you have build up so it doesn't take at all or as well. I would deep Condition like 2 months then bleach and tone.

I was told adding semi permenant dye of the same colour so silver, to conditioner will keep it that colour 🐯
