Everyone is being so horrible to Jkissa, saying her making is bad and that they don't like her. She can't wear foundation because it irritates her skin, so the products she puts on her face aren't going to look as good as they would if she wore foundation but seriously, she's an amazing makeup artist! Anyone that says her makeup looks bad is just inexperienced in what colors go with what skin/hair and eye tone! The make up she is wearing goes perfect with her eye and lip color! I love her lip color especially with her skin tone and new hair color. I would buy every bit of her lip and eye makeup right now if I knew the exact color and brand she is wearing. Those who are saying it looks bad are probably plain, homely and still wearing the same hair style and color from their childhood. She looks fabulous people. it doesn't look good. you can point out the /technicalities/ all day but the lipstick was a hideous green shade and the makeup look looked sloppy to me. the blush was also too much and did make her look muddy/like she doesn't know how to apply self tanner. on top of all this, she was dying her hair silver! (or the weird silver purple guy did). even if her makeup matched her old hair (also hideous, thank God she changed it) why wouldn't she make it more neutral / cool toned if she knew she was changing to a cooler toned color? poorly thought through and executed in my opinion. @@ms.loulou417

+Dana Nicole my hair was bleached a yellow blonde instead of a white blonde, even though she used toner. as my roots started to grow I just asked my stylist to blend my light brown hair into the blonde so that now it looks like an ombre. I've been to three different stylists in the last few years asking for white hair and no one has been able to do it. I'm starting to think the only way I'll get white hair is to take a flight to see Guy. :-\

Tell your stylist to watch this video and follow it the best they can, they might have to adjust how they do it according to what color your hair is cause it most likely is not the same as hers nor has the same history, but this video could give your stylist a good idea of how to achieve this look and is a good guide.

It amazes me to finally see the greys returning to the hair color world. I am 57 years young ( just turned 57 years old yesterday October 5th 2017) and I remember seeing ladies getting their hair colored with the grayish blues, purples and sometimes just plain grey....... I am going grey all over except for the back of my head ( I'm a reddish light brown natural hair color with almost white streaks of grey) and I want to know how hard it would be for me to get a beautiful grey hair color, more so like a metallic grey. I have never colored, bleached or anything to my hair except haircuts. My hair is thin,always has been and it's almost to my rear end and it's layered too ( hate that , want it straight across my back ) and if I did have it cut straight across, my hair would be almost mid-back. I would love to see you do something for someone like myself to see how it would look for my age range. I am so jealous right now. I spent over 1500$ getting my hair silver and the hair salons in Edmonton fucked me over so bad. My hair was perfectly healthy and VERY strong and they managed to ruin my hair. It was burnt off and now it's all choppy and short and I had no choice but to dye it dark. Every time I mentioned I wanted silver-ish hair they would cringe, though I had previously bleach my hair blonde to about a 7 & my hair was still so healthy looking&feeling.. That should have been enough for me to walk out. I wanted silver hair so bad it's literally all I was working for. I never go to hair salons, I cut and dye my own hair.. Or at least I have been for the past 7-8-ish years until recently when I thought going to a hair salon was a good idea. I was wrong. Don't ever get your hair done in Edmonton. When I asked to get my hair cut shorter ( long bob ) after I dyed it brown again ( this was a totally different hair salon ) she butchered my hair. It's so choppy and it looks terrible.. As long as you don't bleach it too, too much. You'll be good. If you're worried about damaging it, with the dye, you could always use semi-permanent hair dye. Manic Panic, and ION hair dye are great. You can find them at any beauty supply store.

as a mom of two boys and one girl, all in elementary school, I give my kids any hair color they want. My daughter has had pink twice and is currently purple. My older son has had red and teal. Their school and teachers have never said anything because I let them know the dyed hair is a reward/privilege for good behavior at school and home. My advice Divergent Rebel, would be to offer to sign a contract stating that if you are allowed to dye your hair now, you will promise not to get any tattoos until you're 25. Hair color is very changeable, a tattoo you keep until you die! It puts things in perspective.

+peanutbuttermotherchucker Yes, that's what Olaplex is there for. You put Step One IN the bleach and it totally knocks down the damage levels of bleach. Next after you rinse, you put Step Two which you put on while rinsing and I believe it gives back the proteins and moisture that's been taken from the bleach. Step Three can be used as a pre-treatment or and after treatment to rebuild the hair structure and stop breakage. All that comes with a price though, hundreds of dollars lol

Like he said in this and other videos, it depends on the lighting. Most "silver" colors will have what seems to be a lavender hint because most toners used to remove yellow/brass have purple or blue bases. When she was outside, it looked platinum white too.

Unfortunately bleaching first is the only way to get this color..unless you can alwats get clip in real hair have it blond add the silver and clip it in so you have a blend of your hair and then the color or lat the clip ins as close as you can to the top so it shows mostly the color u make on the clip in real hair..thats always a way to try this look without bleaching..or wig..but needs to be real hair..Yours Truly Marilyn Monae not ted odell..

I love this, but I am honestly not a fan of the shadow root look. Sometimes I feel like it looks like their roots are growing in. When natural hair grows in, the roots aren't really darker. I like the alien look ha. But beautiful otherwise!

+Relesy I like the shadow root for darker haired people because it hides the root growth and saves them money. However, for lighter haired people it is not a good look to go from light to dark to light again when the roots grow.
