For you younger fans out there, Debbie and Blonde were not just pioneers of music, Debbie was often referred to as The Queen of Punk! In addition to that, Debbie was a huge supporter of early Rap music and electronic underground music. She is the cornerstone of my musical taste and her influence can be seen through her life and her glorious career! I just caught her a couple of years ago at Hollywood Bowl, and she was just as magnificent then as she was back in her early New York days! Thank you for the enormous rock you’ve been to so many aside from your incredible music! 🥰🫠

What a spectacular band. I really don’t wanna make it sound like a scratch record but Blondie was just one of dozens incredible bands from their era: Pink Floyd, The Clash, Ramones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, ACDC, The Runaways, Eagles, the list goes on and on and on. How is it possible that music fell so bad?

I actually think the answer to that is the corporate homogenization of the music industry in the 80s and 90s, followed by the collapse in 2000s. Creativity and uniqueness was less important than bankability.

I'm 55 and I remember Blondie, I always liked the group, but it's only now I appreciate how brilliant and so ahead of their time they were, this song is a mixture of pop, rock, punk with multi riffs and of course that unique voice of Debbie, all combined brilliantly. To think they were an American band who broke Europe but didn't do 'too well' at home...I now think they were a great I hesitate to say undervalued because their music keeps popping up everywhere, Yes I'm here because of American Gigolo.

When I was a a kid I went to the Canadian National Exhibition. My mom gave me some money - because I was just a kid. I used that money to purchase Blondie's "Parrallel Lines" and the first Van Halen album. I am 58 years old now and I can honestly state that was a GOOD DECISION.

No doubt! I turned 16 in 1985 and as you know, as kids we didn't have the internet and video games. Heck, my family didn't get cable until I was in 7th grade. However, we had music and that was all I ever needed, we are lucky to have grown up back then! Such an amazing era, and these classic songs are like a time capsule that helps me remember exactly how I felt, what I thought about, and how much I loved music. Debra Harry was one of my first crushes, Wow what a babe! Kids these days have so many conveniences and although my teenagers enjoy music, I don't think they will ever appreciate it as much as we did.
