If you're in Dublin, there are several Chinese hotpot places in town on Parnell Street. Some of them do a large hotpot pot that you share with your table and others give you your own individual hotpot pot. I recommend trying one and taking note of what sauces and ingredients you like, so you can buy them in the Asian supermarkets nearby afterwards to make at home. The Asian supermarkets have premade hotpot soup bases in different flavours in packets and you can get Asian style meatballs (usually fish or beef), tofu puffs, mushrooms Asian greens,.and of course all the sauces. Since we're in Ireland, things like prawns, mussels and clams (frozen or chilled from Lidl etc) are great in hotpots and you can just buy fillets of beef, lamb or pork from the butcher and partially freeze it so it's easier to slice very thinly and they'll cook in the hotpot within a minute or so. Anything goes with hotpots! I also recommend getting the portable induction hob from IKEA to use for your hotpot, better and safer than the portable gas stoves.

@@charleydevlin833 good to hear! Our family usually do two different soup bases (yin yang style) when we do it at home - one very spicy and numbing, and the other a light one using just coconut water that you can get litre cartons from Lidl or Aldi seasoned with some salt and pepper and handful of sliced cherry tomatoes and spring onions. The latter is nice one to drink as a soup at the end when you're done as long as you didn't make it too salty or peppery. Enjoy!

@@tigerroar649 not possible as a vassal nation. Australia does not have a foreign policy when it comes to China. Otherwise, they would have not ruined their trade surplus with China. They do not care for their people's livelihood. Australia is one of few nations that did not have to go through the 2008 debacles for riding the Chinese economic wave. Too bad the people have no say in their political matters. Listen to the Aussie media and you can see they are rowdy up the population to have China.
