I recommend using Army of the Dead pre-pull pretty much always unless it will cause issues with adds on certain fights. Army+Horn will allow you to start at 30 Runic Power and only need to do 1 DS and 1 HS to get to 60 Runic Power to pop Dancing Rune Weapon. Plus army just does solid damage on its own

Nice video, I learned two important things from this video that I will add to my playstyle. 1. That I should keep a blood rune up to get more deaths strike resets (This was something that I felt was too random, but now I can control it). 2. I should get high vengeance AP before I begin my damage rotation, and spend the beginning of the fight by collecting rune power, casting bone shield + horn, instead of before the fight. This also requires me to use a weak aura for rune and vengeance visibility. Something that I also did was set up elvui to make my health bar red when I am below 30% health, which helps me better track when I should use my rune tap for the DR

Don't use rune strike, even at full runic power? It has a 45% chance to restore a fully depleted rune, which allows for more abilities to be used. Even if you wanted to cap runic power for the death strike glyph, it seems fine to use every now and again. Guides are recommending the rune strike glyph for single target encounters anyway.

Hey Subtle ! You are a legend ! And made me a much better tank! I have some questions about this rotation Are there any benefit to stay high on RP ? I know the Glyph is huge, but doing more RS when fishing for Death Runes, shouldnt that be better ? Also Blood Tap use on cd as the effect is 20sec and the cd is 30 sec, which leaves 10 sec for having 2 blood runes which you then use to do 2 HS on that Rune before Blood Tap is up again? This will keep us low on RP, but gain more DS, also since the Glyph have no effect on Mitigation, so my question is. Is it really worth sitting at so High RP waiting for Runes to Recharge rather than fishing for em ?

You'll want to stay high RP for the DS glyph and just fish for runes from high RP so your RP never drops too low. Yah you should look to use blood tap freuqently, either for bone shield or to combo with a rolled rune for a ds

@@SubtleFW So in theory, if you are at 90~ RP you stop doing RS, but that also means that you are holding a Blood Rune for no reason, and therefore should send it ? Would you recomend to Cancel Aura BT if no Death Runes are generated through RS, to get a Heart Strike back ? I feel that this rotation is very slow, and there is alot of downtime, am I right in that assumption? Sorry to ask, but the discord seems in revolt and no clear answer to anything really.

Yah you'd stop RS there. Depends on other blood rune cd if you'd send HS there or wait. Hold the BT death rune to try to roll a 2nd death rune for a DS and just instantly use the 2nd blood rune when it comes off CD if you don't roll before that. The unhasted rotation is pretty slow and has a lot of unused GCDs, which is one of the reasons the haste build is so good

In Cata and MoP (using requisite talents) I generally fish with blood runes. Which is to say, I always keep a blood rune depleted and never keep a frost or unholy rune depleted unless I have to double death strike for spike damage. I spend all my blood runes right away, I only spend Frost/Unholy at cap, is an easy way to think of it.

Hey, just get as much as you can. That'll typically be 115-130%ish depending on your gear. Mastery is a lot better than dodge and parry since you can control the damage reduction instead of relying on RNG

When you taunt there's a 3 second fixate where the target won't go off of you even if someone out threats you. Rune strike can only replenish fully depleted runes, so by keeping 1 blood rune off CD, we can guarantee that a rune refresh from Rune Strike will be frost or unholy to allow us to Death Strike

Dual wield is pretty bad unfortunately. Most of our abilities scale with weapon damage so one handers won't do much compared to 2 handers

For some reason since the pre patch hit I generate like no threat. I'm spec'd blood and in blood pressence but after my opener I lose threat almost immediately. Taunt is almost useless too. I just can't figure out what the problem is.

ask for hand of salvation on classes like mage and make sure u're using a str weapon not agi, also u can use some dps pieces since being defense capped is no longer a concern also use the major glyph of dancing rune weapon, 20% extra aggro generated for 12 second helps a lot

Make sure you refresh your Presence and you may need to respec too. Tank stances sometimes get bugged and lose their 500% threat modifier

Hate rune system. And this is that moment when something is garbage and op at the same time. And not using it makes u feel stupid. Just one single buff to Deathstrike brought this garbage to S tier... I think Cataclysm is when Blizzard started becoming Blizzard we know. Instead of watching fight, boss movements, u are watching "rune managment movie"
