I look up to you even more now. When i was in the hospital i needed a blood transfusion. So i got better because of people who donate blood. All People should donate when they can. :)

O Neg is a universal donor. He doesn't have any A or B antigens on his red cells, so the recipient's antibodies won't attack them. Used mostly for newborns and emergencies. Good for you guys to donate :).
@BumbleBaylee10 жыл бұрын
Iggy__81 Yeah, I know he's a universal donor, but there was some other factor. I forget what Christian said it was, but it made his blood even more desirable. He's pretty much filled with liquid gold. :P
@meisje00910 жыл бұрын
BumbleBaylee Group O - has neither A nor B antigens on red cells (but both A and B antibody are in the plasma) (gotten off of google) "nd their blood serum contains IgM anti-A and anti-B antibodies against the A and B blood group antigens. Therefore, a group O individual can receive blood only from a group O individual, but can donate blood to individuals of any ABO blood group (i.e., A, B, O or AB). If a patient in a hospital situation were to need a blood transfusion in an emergency, and if the time taken to process the recipient's blood would cause a detrimental delay, O negative blood can be issued. Because it is compatible with anyone, O negative blood is often overused and consequently is always in short supply. Its use should be restricted to persons with O negative blood, as nothing else is compatible with them, and women who might be pregnant and for whom it would be impossible to do blood group testing before giving them emergency treatment" from wikipedia x3 I hope i helped bay x3

I had that same vacuum. I had to toss it because it eventually got so clogged. I switched back to vacuum with bags. The bottom filter part needs to be removed and washed as well. I usually did that at night so i could let it air dry and it would be dry by morning.

What does it mean when a vein collapses (besides the obvious; like what does it do to the person?) Also, in fifth grade I lost my eyesight for a lapse of 5 seconds twice.
@SkylaStrong9 жыл бұрын
contagiouscuteness It means the vein has collapsed like no blood flow or fluids can get in or out of that vein. Normally if there is a needle in the vein it hurts to pull it out but it doesn't really cause any issues. Just means you need more fluids. - I'm a medical kid and a volunteer EMT and 911 dispatcher

Lawl I've gotta admit that I was distracted at one point by the magnet frown face. It's like your fridge has moods. :D Also, that must've been scary as hell, especially not being able to see. I'd imagine that what happened is that when you ran, it got your blood flowing, and flowing to areas looking to replace the oxygen expended in that run. That wouldn't normally be a problem, but since you had just given a portion of blood, that's a portion you didn't have available, meaning your body had to allocate it from other sources that weren't demanding it, such as your eyes. But then, I'm no doctor, so it's just a theory.

Christian is a universal donor. Any blood type can receive his blood in an emergency. I would tell a doctor about what happened to you. I'm worried that you lost your eyesight. Unless you were passing out repeatedly.
@TraumaDoll239 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what happened to her. All of these people keep saying, "oh you have this because it happens to me every day!" - no. When you donate blood, your body goes into shock. Some times it's worse than others, some experience nothing, different things factors into this. The fact she over exerted herself, and then reacted to the situation in the incorrect manor, her body was trying to make her black out.
