I don't really have a routine. Ideas are spontaneous and can't be forced. Usually I just start doodling and see what happens. If I already have a vague idea, I might do some thumbnails to flesh out the idea.

Bayleee - If you fold the top of the cup in half to flatten the mouth, then push the rim up with your thumbs, the rim rolls up super easy! From one canuck to another lol xo

Baylee, I watched a bit of the stream last night, your drawing is such a cute idea. I'm almost done watching all your past vlogs and I know how much you like squirrels! Anyway. I was thinking that maybe it seems like the picture's not quite all the way there yet because your darks aren't quite dark enough. Push the depth In the shadows, especially in the body (Maybe go purple or greenish in the shadows) and use opaque white to push the details of the hair. Oh and darken the crevices of the wood and add a highlight based on your light source. I know you know about all that stuff. Keep it up! It'll turn out just the way you want it with a little more lovin'.

Hey Baylee! I think you made a good call on your squirrel piece. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the colors and layering, but I agree that it's not one of your strongest pieces. It is missing a lot of depth, the squirrel just seemed a bit flat, personally I think it needed some good strong shadows to help bring out the form.
