You should check out the 2 person starter set. Two sloops, 12 sailors for each side, and Black Beard, and the British captain Maynard who took out Black Beard. The set includes everything needed to play Blood and Plunder.

When I built the 2 player starter crews, oh boy, did I had fun. I built the first few as intended and then I started to experiment. No 2 are alike by combo of arms, heads, weapons and that's okay by me.

The conquistador guns would be matchlocks. The Blood and Plunder pistols and muskets are at least 150 years in the future and are the more advanced flintlocks. But they are pretty small and they are your figures.

These minis could make a good mix with Frostgrave 's crewmen, given the good number of firearms in this set, very flexible, after all lower classes' fashion remained very similar btw late 17th century 'til early 19th, so only the weapons are different, slouch hats were very diffused in warmer climates. Only complaint is that only one seems barefooted, perhaps the producers could've made an option of shoes/barefeet for the lower legs, to simulate either a shore party or a boarding action.

The bases are 20mm cause you need to pack as many as you can on the ships. capacity is if it sits it fits.

Are you familiar with Warhammer Armies Project? There's a Sartosa army book. These guys could help fill out the ranks of an army like that!! I already have pirate-themed ogres. A maneater pirate ogre. Ogre anchor bashers. I even have a Pirate Giant from black scorpion miniatures.

I've got a fair amount of Titan Forge's pirate- themed Ogres, so yeah, these guys would be great to hang with those guys.

I've been curious about it, but I'm curious about almost every skirmish game. My issue is anything like this is going to be played with friends and family only. My area is completely dominated by GW stuff, despite there being a smattering of shops that carry other games.

The starter set mentioned in another comment is great. Two sets of sailors, to captains (Blackbeared and Maynard), two plastic sloops, which can be made in two variants, a reversable just under 3X3 paper playmat with water on one side, land on the other (I got mine laminated to make it last longer), carboard tokens and measuring tools, and some d10s. Yes the bases are small compared to most games, but that is so more guys fit on a ship. I say give it a go, and if you don't like it, you have super themed Ghost Archapelligo forces, that includes having an actual ship to put your guys on for when explaining forces on a video or blog bat rep, and also to have off to the sides of the table for a more themed look. That or as terrain. Note, I also recommend getting the long boat. I used it for terrain in Rangers of Shadowdeep, Frostgrave, Chain of Command, and obviously as a boat in Blood & Plunder. It is a row boat, it fits near anywhere with a lake, river, or ocean, or even on land if there is supposed to be one of those in reasonable transport distance.

It's caught on. It was one of the largest historical games at Adepticon 2025. Checkout the Summer of PLunder 2024 campaign (which is about to end) which is a 9 week global campaign event.

I forgot they made revolutionary era figures. Are they in plastic, because then I'd be inclined to agree. There's a lot of options for the pistols on the sprue, but not enough bodies or blades to really go around.

welll neat stuff like have bit from it heads and well bits a look in to ho the spear thing is not spear but a pike thare a good swiss pike formation that can be dun its well pike square you do pike gun pike gun and so forth or do all pikes to looks great on big battle field wish cud ues in WHFB but nope ho you do with croes bows to ho last the capten will have take a braes of pistels that say up 10 flint lock guns and did need to re load jut pul out a nuther gun lest face it when shot the one shot you got you have a francay club SEA the nest vid RRRRR
