Didnt it come with the black elastic string? It works really well, easy to rig, easy to tie and you can untie and releases possible stress you accidently put on the plastic due to the elasticity

Very cool looking kit. The masts and sails looks like it could be a real pain. I was also hoping the top deck would be removable to allow for play below. Im thinking I might get an mdf kit

The mdf kits might be more modular, but they really don't look that great in my opinion, especially in respect of all the curves of a real ship hull.

@@ModellingforAdvantage oh, 100%. TT combat has some ships that don’t look like Lego. But there’s a mission in Silver Bayonet on a ship that starts on the deck and then goes below deck and I’d like something that has a removable deck. Not sure if this would fit the bill.

Silly question, for the sails, could you use small strips of velcro to attach and remove the sails for storage? I will be building these soon, but worrried about how to do the sails.

Hmm, maybe - I would be tempted to try and have the whole mast & sail removeable - it is huge with the sail & mast to store.

Not sure why my comment keeps disappearing, but with regards to the "Bermuda Sloop" it refers to the rigging of the sails if I'm not mistaken. So one of the sloops is rigged " normally" and the other is rigged Bermuda style. But both are still Sloops. Edit: looks like the link to different kinds of rigging was causing the issue
