This fight was amazing dude and I don't just mean the Gehrman boss fight, but your contributions to it too.

I feel like Gehrman's voice has a more creepy aspect to it in English, that's lost in the Japanese dub.
@OBUNGUS4872 жыл бұрын
You got it flipped, the game is japanese. The english version is the dub.
@edlerkrieger8045 Жыл бұрын
@@OBUNGUS487 The English dub was recorded first and English is almost always the language fromsoft devs want in their games. I think the only reason there's so many dubs from different languages in Bloodborne is because of Sony's exclusive standards and higher budget.

i was about to ask if i was the only one who thought Gehrman's voice in japanese actually sucked...but now i see i am not the only one xD

The voices sound fine when they’re speaking and they suit the characters well enough. But the acting is just bad. Gehrman’s badass dialogue when he gets out of his chair is just flat and not terrifying like the English original.
@thenekro58346 жыл бұрын
I'd say this did a so-so job with the voicing. While some of the voices do fit pretty well like per say maybe the Doll, most characters fail to give off the the power the English voice overs had. Like here Gehrman's voice sounds a lot less menacing unlike the English counterpart.

Don’t get me wrong I love Sekiro but it was definitely missing an emotional and beautiful fight like this.

Swordsaint was even better to me. You can hear how pumped he is when says "Come, Sekiro! Everything is beautiful and screams "This is what mastery looks like"

The last boss is basically the same in a more beautiful setting. You are also fighting someone you respect and thought you would never see again.

The Japanese for a lot of the characters are pretty good, but there's just something about the English dub that gives it that kick, for example the line "Tonight, Gerhman joins the hunt" sort of doesn't have that same kick in the JP vers. as it does in the EN vers. and it does seem to make sense that the EN vers. is better, because I think From Soft prefer english voice acting in their games. In Dark Souls, I've looked everywhere and I still can't actually find a Japanese dub for it and even the voice acting in the JP trailers are english, leading me to believe this is the only From Soft Souls game that has an official JP dub.

Sekiro has a jp dub too (and a few other languages like english, german, spanish, etc). It's the best way to play it.

I think the English dub he sounds more feeble, and weak. Add onto that he speaks slowly and is so soft-spoken, this twist is so amazing with the English dub.

I absolutely love the japanase voice acting overall, but this game, even if it's a japanese game, the english feel more "right" because of the setting and world building. Still an interesting and quite good Gerhman's interpretation though!

All in all the japanese voice is good, but the "Tonight Gehrman Joins the Hunts" is lacking the feel. Not quite good as the English one

LTC cherno clearly you don't love it because this VA is amazing to me. Why do non weebs say they move anime but yet don't watch a single anime or play anything japanese??
@ltccherno25367 жыл бұрын
I never said anything like that. I usually go for the original version of whatever I’m playing/watching, but I’ll check out other versions for fun. But in Bloodborne’s case the original language is English. And the acting in the Japanese track is awful. Just because the actors are Japanese doesn’t mean they did a good job.
