Bloodborne - How to get to the Abandoned Old Workshop

How to get to the Abandoned old workshop in Bloodborne.
*NOTE: YOU CAN DO THIS AT ANY LEVEL
Just follow the path I took to the door and you will unlock the trophy for this. From the Cathedral Ward you make a right to the elevator. You must have defeated Vicar Amelia, The Witch of Hemwick and Blood-Starved Beast to access this area. Once upstairs you make a left passing the bridge. After crossing the bridge DO NOT GO INTO THE ROOM, but make a right and drop off the ledge. Follow the path down until you see the door and make your way there.
Also this is the place where you get the One Third of Umbilical Cord required for the final and true boss fight against the Moon Presence.

if you know where to drop down it's really not that hard. it takes forever to figure it out the first time sure but i'd argue the platforming in Old Yharnam for the bloody messenger bandages is way worse.

I really appreciate how so many Souls guides are just video footage of how to get to an area with no commentary whatsoever. Just a wave or bow at the camera if anything. You know it's great design when you already possess the knowledge on how to get somewhere, but still have to search for a guide online because the level geometry keeps fucking you over. Oh my god, every other video showed jumping from where your blood stain was, which I have concluded is actually impossible (for me). Your simple "drop here then drop there" is the only correct way to do this. Thank you so much. =)

The wiki said, "Drop on the left side before the walkway to land on a small platform. Drop again to the next platform and open the door, enter and you will reach the Abandoned Old Workshop." Unless it explained it correctly and I'm just dumb.

you can just walk back to where you dropped off and claim the pool of echoes back. it'll be on the platform starting from wherever you dropped. i made the same mistake with the same wiki lol. the explanation isn't just vague, it's worded incorrectly and makes you think you are supposed to walk off the end of the platform to the left of the doorway. i thought i just didn't have enough health!

the description is wrong - you don't need to kill all of the bosses mentioned to access this area. only blood-starved beast is required as the workshop door in cathedral ward opens only after bsb is dead.

Good to know that bloodborne fall damage is level dependant. Or at least thats what I think since I survived the fall with a level 25 character with 15 vitality

Everyone goes for that right one above to the door but there’s that one to the left I got on trying to take as little fall dmg as possible and got on it ONCE with a jump-roll. I still fell off that and died though and all the bullies laughed at me.

If you die here, then the axe-wielding enemy in area just before the drop will have your souls. Sometimes, it will appear on the planks but sometimes on the axe guy.
