Hey Gavin. First off I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your music. It really makes the games you make your songs about a whole lot more awesome. I too am an aspiring music artist and I have been working on a whole bunch of remixes and original songs of my own these past couple of months and I'll be more than happy to share them with the public when they are ready but for now I would like a favor to use this song in one of my videos. You see, I just beat Bloodborne yesterday and I wanted to give my viewers a little something special with my fight with Gehrman and the Moon Presence and I thought why not use something like this for it. I promise I will give you proper credit and whatever else you would like in return for this. I do not wish to infringe any of your rights for making this song so if it would be ok, I would most certainly like to use this.

I like how this song portraits hunters. We're used to see them as those edgy bois in black cloaks, but the Church hunters were a brutal paramilitary organisation with carte blanche for violence. They had supernaturally reinforced bodies, so ordinary people had no chance to fight back, and, because of blood transfusions, they were known for sudden urges of rage. No wonder they were sometimes hated even more than the plague itself.

You perfectly capture the dark and oppressive nature of Bloodborne, and I feel like any uplifting tones that slip in are immediately snuffed out, slaughtered--that's a joy. Oh gods. The lyrics at the end actually hint at an ending. *Spoilers ahead if you haven't beat the game with enough umbilical cords consumed* the cogs creak a melody (mergos lullaby) sing a lullaby for the doomed(ok referring to Margo now) find a vessel in the pale blood moon...moon presence doesn't absorb echoes(to our knowledge)we do. We basically become a baby moon presence at the end of the game, in a way the song kinda makes some fun suggestions about the game. Firstly we become the paleblood moon. Secondly (and there's some decent in game evidence for this one) this was the goal all along we were seeking paleblood to become it, lightly hinted at in the seek paleblood to transcend the hunt note at the beginning of the game. (The ideas itself aren't terribly new but it's nice how he went through the effort for even the implied in game stuff)

I must admit though, I was hoping for some elements of the cosmic horror seen in Bloodborne, but I could have just been zoning out and missed it. Question: Who sings your choir chanting bits? Or did you write lyrics to some audio clips you had already? That threw me off some. Gav, I love your music. Excellent work as always. Keep doing what you do. May the good Blood guide your way! Wow, you really went from 0-100 with "I Am Pudge", a light, fun song, to this epic masterpiece. I read your tweets about this game, so I was really excited for what it would inspire you to produce. As always, you have not disappointed. I love the sweeping orchestra and echoing vocals. It amazes me how you have the ear for what matches the game style, what instruments, what filters... It's a talent, Gav. Love it!

this was one of the most chilling songs you've done...I literally got shivers, awesome as always...and for those knee deep in the bodies of Bloodborne, keep up the hunt!

This song is the second half of their other song, A Thousand Eyes. 2:30 proves this.

Thousand eyes came after this one but technically you are right - MoS often repeats verses from his previous songs, especially if they share the setting

Man you are A LEGEND IN MAKING SONGS!!!!!!

I've started to replay Mass Effect in Legendary, and it reminded me of this song. My first experience with Bloodborne, that made me so badly want the game - which ended up affecting our tabletops, my art style, and so much else. It just occurred to me that you had no idea how your work influenced my life, so I wanted to come tell you.

BLOODBORNE SPOILERS? YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! . Gav, did you make this song based on Bloodborne's 3 endings? It seems to me you did, reasons being: Verse 1 is about "rising from the deepest dream" "fading howls and scream", just as the "Waking World" ending, when you let the old man take your head, and you awaken in the city, greeted by the sunshine. In Verse 2 the song explains the hunt, the hunter remembers the hordes of prey, the sensation of slaughtering them while "weaving past them". Plus the term "we" indicates more hunters, most likely after taking the old man's position, and helping new hunters. While the last Verse sings about a Vessel and a Lullaby, which parallels with the ending in which the hunter turn into the infant great one, being the vessel of the next "moon presence". Those are my theories, hope i didnt cause a headache :D

+texteel that actually isnt rly spoiling the game aside from giving the three endings.. at worst u've ruined the suprise the endings have but as for how we get them and most of the plot, u've done fine and havent RLY spoiled anything.. if anything I'm looking forward to buying Bloodborne even MORE. XD (nice Commander Shepard pfp with his N7 Spectre insignia btw.)

Another astounding piece that captures the game better then maybe even the game itself. This song could have easily replaced some of the quieter songs in the later boss fights. How you manage to bring out the strength of a game in spades is still a joy that my ears will be able to enjoy for quite some time. May the good blood guide your way.

I tried putting this song through three different languages in Google Translate for fun today. This is the result: Springs from the deepest sleep. An oasis in the mist. The howling and shouting fade sickly. Pale Blood will guide you. Make changes in treatment. The bleak unhappy chiming clocks. Pale Moon Blood Screams echo. Teeth, toes and toes. Meat, Maul and order. Teeth, toes and toes. Meat, Maul and order. Animal cruel and brutal blades. Carve and noise and division. Bathed in Blood damn late. Through the withers that looms. Pale Blood will guide you. Make changes in treatment. The bleak unhappy chiming clocks. Pale Moon Blood Screams echo. Dental crisis melody. Sing a song of cradle doomed. They would never. Blood vessel located in Pale Moon.

@redmuller81499 жыл бұрын
This was done...so right for the game I can't even begin to describe it. First of all that opera/orchestra feel to it felt appropriate for that Victorian feel that they based the city off of, there was enough brutality to balance out the sheer beauty that you conveyed through the instruments and choirs, you were able to reference enough blood for it to remain bloodborne without completely over doing it by hammering on and on about gore and what not. This is something I can listen to comfortably while I draw, game, and I always know clearly what it had been made for. Fans new to the game could surely appreciate this too.While I'll never know how you manage to pull off the choir by being a one man band, it sounded absolutely incredible to me. Already shared this with my sister, mother, and father and all of them had amazing feedback to give to you, mainly about your talent but I'll spare you those details. XD I'll continue to spread this around my facebook, tumblr, and deviantart for you and see if we can't get you even more views. Nicely done man. I really have yet to hear a song from you that I didn't like, but this is certainly in my top ten favs now. Keep it up and have a great April.
@miracleofsound9 жыл бұрын
Red Muller Thank you :) Going on about gore & violence too much would certainly have undermined my own experience with the game which was more about soaking up the wonderful atmosphere :) As for the choir, it's a virtual instrument called Voxos. Lets me play choirs through my keyboard!
