I probably spent around that for the first run as well, also because I didn't want to miss any part of Central Yharnam either so I explored it 100%. Have in mind this was also my first Souls-type of game, only having played Nioh, which indeed still helped immensely on getting the mechanics faster. To be honest I had tried Bloodborne a year before playing Nioh and I honestly quit, it was too hard at first, but I decided to give it a try this year after having played Nioh and now I hold this game in high regard, really well made, story, mechanics, environment fits perfectly to the story... It's just amazingly good, honestly, now I understand why people love it so much. It's still probably easier than Nioh, I guess...? Feels like it is though, at least I needed many many more tries to kill some bosses, in BB I can manage to defeat it after 4 to 5 tries. Oh, with many more tries in Nioh, I mean like 20+ tries in a few bosses, no kidding, I still defeated 2 on the first try though.

One thing you failed to mention: the Madman's Knowledge you can get from the rat infested area after you cut down the two corpses. It allows you to start leveling up without having to encounter/lose to one of the bosses.

They do all that just for the slim chance that they might slowly grow their channel over a period of years. One of the most interesting things ive found in central yharnam was of course the kind ill man in front of the lamp. Its quite sad but near the end of the game if you go back there he turned into a beast.

AskiFin That's a good idea, but there are 2 problems: 1, I'm a noob in every Souls game when I start, so I usually take 2 or 3 weeks only to reach 50% of the game; and 2, I live in Argentina, a PS4 costs $11000 pesos, or $1300 dollars, and the game should cost at least $1000 pesos, or $120 dollars. So, $1420 dollars for the console and ONE game, it's too much.

Yea that part was unclear, I talked to her a couple times and nothing really happened. Went back after I was at Bergynworth and she was gone. Luckily I found her at the cathedral after and apparently she wanted to kill all hunters. Bloodbornes version of going hollow maybe?

Halcyon Industries Bloodborne is a Sony IP so it won't release on PC, now this is similar to Demon Souls so like they did for Darksouls From Software may release a really similar game down the line but Bloodborne itself will never be on PC save the PlayStation divsion going broke and Sony becoming a publisher like Sega did.

Halcyon Industries Final Fantasy is a 3rd party exclusive e.g Sony didn't own the property, Bungie left Microsoft to make a new IP, the Halo property is still very much Microsoft's (Same as the Demon Souls situation I discussed). Bloodborne on PC is the same as Uncharted or Mario on PC as they are both IP owned by console manufacturers. Like I said though I guarantee you that 2017/18 will see the release of Bloodborne in all but name as a full multiplat probably under a title like Beast Souls. So yeah if you wait a bit I guarantee you will get the game your after it just won't be called Bloodborne.

Today I finally unlocked the shortcut to the first torch, after dying several dozen times of course 😊 I was so proud of myself 😁 Then I walked in on the Cleric Beast 😱 I fought it as if it was a normal hack & slash game (think Kratos in GOW3), which obviously doesn't work ! I think I'm gonna level up very slowly before attacking him again.

Actually, on the second boss on my blind play through, I solo'd him on my second try without the music box. He's not as hard as you think, especially if you use the tombstones to give yourself some heal time and gun parry him. Regardless, it's a fun fight. I recommend going back to that area later on after talking to the crow hunter

You just need to sidestep, attack, sidestep, attack, sidestep, attack.... You get the idea. It also helps if you chose the axe as your starting weapon, so that you know his moveset, because... Well it's the same as yours...

Dodging his gun shots is one of the most important things you can do. Doesent do a ton of damage, but it adds up and you'll burn through blood vials waaay more than you'd like lol

Lol the opposite for me. I had 2 summons for he cleric beast for my first try, then the father took me like 5 tries because I kept running out of QS bullets, and having the trick cane almost requires a counter attack.

Drewsafox I never found the music box. I used a long handled axe on the father and did a run away method. Power attacked evey time he got close, then molotov'ed his ass when he transformed.

I always loved your work on dark souls. The guides and stories made me more interested to play the games and see for myself the tips and hidden stories. Hell, I'll admit I became a pro at DS1 because of you. I would love for you to do so with bloodborne as well. Hell, even though I'm at the end game for NG atm, I still learned things from these four videos that I didn't know (The staggering "timing" for one, never could figure that one out)

You missed Gilbert! The first lantern at Central Yharnam go straight to the house in front of you, when you go straight you'll hear coughing and that's when you go to the window and then talk to the guy, he gives you a flamethrower after you kill Father G. After you know, change the color of the moon, he starts to go crazy like many other npcs. Also there's a short cut to the pig in which you can just back stab him instead of running past, but I forget where that shortcut is. (Just find another way to the ladder behind it lol)

I killed Father Gascoigne first try but it took me 27 times to kill Vicar Amelia =_= she's a cow. I beat her coz I found a way to summon an Old Hunter

Oh how I get you xD people talk about father gasgoine but that was my easiest boss actually (the worst being the bloodstarved beast cos of that cheap poison effect, I tried like 8 times and even ran out of blood vials cos I did not have more medicine) Vicar Amelia took me about 5 tries because it gets way easier once u discover the wonders of numbing mist

I actually found a lot of these things on my first playthrough, even after screaming at Gascoigne. I didn't know there was a fence gap to the dog cage area though, nor did I know about that way to cut down the hanging corpses. Cheers Vaati.
