I also wanted to add how amazing Daniel Freyberg's performance was here. His tone is absolutely killer and really cuts deep through the entire show. I've noticed in watching COB concert footage that the second guitarists seem to be louder than Alexi in the mix and wasn't sure if the band did that intentionally or if it's just coincidence, but either way it sounds fantastic - so heavy! Fuck I wish this band were still around!
@TheReaper1337 Жыл бұрын
It's really obvious here that Alexis guitar is the lowest of all instrument on the stage. Can't be unintentional. The backup vocals seem higher then the main even.
@JaCkcape0009 ай бұрын
100 percent Daniel HAD to be louder in the mix. Alexi was one of the best guitarists in the world but he was very ill. Alexis Vox sound brilliant but at this point unfortunately Daniel and Janne were the main sound. Although it's hard panned left and right most of the time so you can choose to listen to AL or DF
@JaCkcape0009 ай бұрын
P.s. everyone think about his commitment to performing. Newer songs like "this road" are a bloody nightmare to play. And they're playing it faster than the record!
@JaCkcape0009 ай бұрын
Those natural harmonics in the riff are doable by any proficient guitarist but not whilst they're very ill on stage in front if a large audience. Daniel really helped Alexi keep COB going for the last bit of their lifespan. It's tragic we've lost such a legend. I'll stop now xx

Since Liaho’s passing COB is all that I’ve been listening to. Truly one of the best and most inspirational metal bands ever. Lots of imitators but their sound was unique and of its self. Have not heard a lot of the “newer” stuff since are you dead yet. I love all their early work and I think are you dead yet was the pinnacle of their work but I like the newer songs I heard here. I was lucky enough to see them live more than once.
