This is a truly beautiful song. The lyrics, the music, and the true heartfelt way in which it sung, is just awesome. This performance is very reserved in comparison to the album version. Definitely listen to the album track in order to hear exactly what Bloodstone was capable of as a group. We need music like this again.

I was seven years old when this record came out but I only heard it for the first time just a few weeks ago. I grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, so all I heard on the radio was Philly soul! 😄 The local deejays in Philadelphia weren't going to bother with the Kansas City sound. Pity - Harry Williams is one of those incredible singers who can use his voice as an instrument. This song is pure joy.
