Idk about high skill cap. She might have a higher skill floor then some characters but I feel like you are actually considering the floor the cap. It’s not really possible to have a high skill cap for most hero’s that don’t really require any aim. She’s really simple once you get the hang of her.

bans dont matter because you'll see Hela, Psylocke, and Hawkeye bans well before her. also she isnt high skill ceiling, she's high skill floor. there's a difference. once you get the hang of her there really isn't much more to unlock from her kit compared to let's say a Spiderman

@@sctoast2483 nah , she is hard not because of her skills but her playstyle. you can't just go in and fight like braindead , you have to be smart to make a right call and be enough experienced to deal with some unexpected situations to play this kind of hero , if not she will be useless for the whole game .

Magik has a bit of a high skill ceiling and you depend a lot on certain situations (i.e. pushing with a tank or creating pressure since you can’t just waltz in). But love these videos and hope to see more of our GOAT!

Just curious - do you ever actually pull MVP with Magik? It feels like her attacks just don't do enough damage to top the charts. Even if I'm hyper offense the entire game, my numbers just can't match something like a Hela putting out 100+ dmg per headshot. It almost feels like Thor is a better melee dps... Similar dash in, do damage, dash out playstyle but with actual survivability and somehow *more* damage. Idk if she just needs a small buff or something but it doesn't quite feel strong enough to me.

She kinda has 2 melees. I have the second one bound to V like the default, but it seems pretty short range to me compared to the main swipe attacks, so I havent used it yet. EDIT: After reading through the comments I guess the melee is good after all. Gonna have to mess around some more. V does seem awkward for the combo.

to stack damage on opponents like tanks to build up bonus hp on magik or strong damage in clusters/1v1s when still being safe aka I don't need to escape from the fight. normal demon is better than ult demon btw when it comes to damage. hope this helps

Any type of Heavy Crowd control can ruin your game plan as a magik player and being overwhelmed by multiple enemies. Other than that, comes down to managing cooldowns well so you always have an escape and position yourself well with the environment for health picks up / supports nearby

Yeah I've found playing around jump pads and health packs to be super important/helpful with her as well, since 1 health pack can get you back in a fight and lifestealing again, and the bounce pads help with getting height to surprise people with her dash. The scariest thing is when the whole enemy team is grouped up and not already focused on someone else. I think she really benefits from having good tanks who know how to soak attention so she can pick off squishies without getting focused. I always die with her whenever I make a poor judgement call and initiate onto too many people at once without enough other people around to split their attention. I think she really rewards being able to sniff out opportunities to dive hard and get quick KO's, but also knowing when you need to flank and try to get behind them if the enemy is too grouped up and organized to go on directly.
