this movie is one of my absolute favorites, as are the three villains. their dynamic with each other is so interesting to me and you can buy that they’re real friends while also being emotionless killers. the scene of them playing tag really gives them brief characterization. and while curtis gets all the hype (totally deserved), it’s debbie who’s my favorite. she’s such a good villain because she’s the leader and is so manipulative. she orchestrates all these deaths and gets away to keep on killing. she’s able to completely fool her mom. and i like to believe that curtis and steven are proud knowing she’s carrying on their work. as this ramble shows, i love bloody birthday and i love debbie. plus. this movie’s got excellent pacing. it’s not trying to drag things out and is a perfect quick watch

This seems like such a cool movie. It's begging for a sequel, too. One where the three kids reconnect as adults for another birthday, when the Eclipse happens again. Debbie will have lived with a clean record, always getting off with her kills, Curtis will have done that one stint in juvie, and Stephen will be the weaker one who has been in and out of prison all his life. This has to be my favorite horror movie EVER. the concept of having kids as the murderers instead, and the fact that there are three working together, (unlike Better Watch Out) is a completely amazing type of horror!
