He wasn't asking for donations. They were just announcing that they bought an ambulance for the dog shelter with the money they made on tour.

I love Bloodywood. The first time I saw this song, though, I cried. Then I shared it with my friends and they cried, too. LOL

My partner introduced me to Bloodywood and I absolutely love them. I suggest watching their 'Jee Veerey' it's about overcoming depression and battling against intrusive suicidal thoughts. It is such a GOOD song with an awesome message at the end!

There are 3 main members, the rapper, Raoul, the screamer, Jayant, and the guy who dies everything, Karan. You’ll find no two songs sound at all alike, but they all sound identifiably Bloodywood, and the sound of each is absolutely perfectly tailored for the message of the lyrics

Bloodywood's music exists on a spectrum: certain songs are much heavier than others and some songs feature traditional instruments more prominently than others. One commonality though is the messaging. These guys have important things to say! This song is probably their most mellow, least traditional sounding of all their discography (and it still rocks!). I'm going to link a few more from Bloodywood below for you to sink your teeth into! Dana Dan (turn on captions for this one!) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2eYcmloa6qXaJI Aaj - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZjZeWmqjZl4oJI Gaddaar - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKWmZ6xpgdGigdE PS - the guitarist is also the flutist and also the composer. PPS - I wouldn't get hung up on how he strums for the video. It's just for show. 🤘

Not a Hindi-speaker even smallest bit, but when comparing them Hindi and English lyrics in that one part of chorus where's also word Yaad included I think it means Memory or Memories - which imo also fits pretty well the lyrical content of the song...like yep it's also explained in the beginning of the post-story of the vid. ;-) :-)

Thanks for this reaction. Glad you enjoyed it. This is one of their more quiet songs. They can be pretty heavy as well. Both in music and topic. Bloodywood are amazing, especially they are a great live band. And they have a great documentary on their channel as well. PS 2:55 You are from Belgium, you should know a country might not have 1 language. 🙂 India has 23 official languages, 122 major languages and 1599 other languages of which 192 languages of India that are classified as vulnerable or endangered. Anyway.. Bloodywood songs are in English and Hindi.

As a big fan of folk metal I LOVE this band also if anyone is interested here is my folk metal band list that spans all inhabited continents FOLK METAL WORLD TOUR BABY!!!! Diablo Huma- Equador Hiddenland- Equador Cemican- Mexico MiracleOfSound-Ireland (look up his songs Sirona, Grainn Mahoil and Tale of Cu Chullain) Alestorm- Scotland (it's pirate metal but some people count it?) Tyr- Faroe Islands Percival- Poalnd/ Pan slavic Arkona-Russia Rune-Serbia Mägo de Oz-Spain Po' Metra Crijeva- Croatia (the band name means half a meter of guts) Manntra-Croatia Brkovi- Croatia (more of a punk band but look up their song "Ovce" a MAGICAL blend of rap, metal a, punk and folk influences) Metaklapa- Croatia (This one is weird ... they do covers of metal songs in traditional Dalmatian singing style .. for example they did Aces high) Dubioza Kolektiv- Bosnia & Hertzegovina (DO NOTE! This band is called a band with no genre for a reason! they varry from Regge R&B To Folk-Metal-Punk ... compare their "Space song" and "No escape from Balkans") Arka'n Asrafokor- TOGO (also worth of note is Skinflint from Botswana but they don't ussualy have much folk elements) Al-Namrood- Saudi Arabia (They played metal when it was punishable by death... IT DON'T GET MORE HARDCORE THAN THAT!) Hassak- Kazakhstan (it's an ethno band but listen to their song Amanat and tell me it don't belong on a metal concert) The Hu- Mongolia Nine Treasures - China/Inner Mongolia DreamSpirit- China Wagakki band- Japan Nini music- Taiwan BLOODYWOOD- India Alien weaponry- New Zealand Shepherds Reign- New Zealand/Samoa

Wow... I've never left a comment like this before but: This is probably the worst KZbin video I've ever seen. He says Jayant's "singing in Indian" while Raoul's rapping in English to "make it more available to Western people"? (2:34) Then he mocks Karan's accent? (10:01) And then he assumes that this Indian guy is asking for donations without bothering to see the rest of the video (that clearly explains that Bloodywood donated their proceeds from the video to buy the dog shelter a new ambulance) - a simple enough misunderstanding to avoid if you just watch the rest of the 4 min left in the video and then cut to an explanation of it. IDC if this is unconscious bias or whatever, teach y'all kids to respect people. The heck. Then there's the video itself. There's no breakdown of the music he's reacting to, no added context or information. He just says he likes the flute every now and then. This is basically content theft and a waste of my time. @YBPlaysMusic, here's my reaction to your "content": do better, be better.

Bloodywood is great. Very innovative, very musically talented and interesting, and their lyrics tend to be quite meaningful. Personally I think their best song is Gadaar. Aaj is also good. It is worth reading the open captions in English for the singing. I think the language he's singing in is in an Indo-Aryan language; subtitles on one of their other songs suggest that it may be Hindi specifically, if I understood them correctly. The Indo-Aryan languages, descended from Sanskrit in much the same way that the Romance languages come from Latin, are spoken by most of the people in the northern portions of India (and, relatedly, also in Pakistan). Hindi and the very closely related Urdu are the most widely spoken such language. Whereas, most people in the southern part of the country speak Dravidian languages (the most famous of which is Tamil). There is, of course, some mixing and overlap. English is also widely spoken in the country, though it has significantly fewer first-language speakers than Hindi or Tamil.

Welcome to the world of Bloodywood......The band that go beyond just singing. Rule No.1 - Never think you know what's there in rest of the video and skip when it comes to BLOODYWOOD. It is disrespectful for those sould for what they do beyond singing. I dont mind if you dont want to react but watch till the end. Rule No.2 - I repeat Rule No.1.

If you react to Dana Dan put on the closed captions - most of their songs have captions in the video but they put the captions for Dana Dan in the CC of the KZbin video instead
