You need to understand the fact that even the fastest running sportscar cannot run fast on a crappy road. So no sense in being sad. India could not have benefitted either ways because of this crappy road (system).

@@Ninyaho Great people need great system to make a great impact on the society. The talent would get spoilt and wasted if it is in a spoilt and corrupt system. So it is better that it gets the opportunity to work in a great system. Why did US win 113 medals in Tokyo Olympics this year and India only won 7? I don't think anyone who immigrated to US from India won the medals for US. They were all Americans and none of them were Indians. So does India lack in great talent potential? No. Great talent needs great system for great outcomes.

My friend Sundar is Excellent as Usual. Down to Earth. I know Sundar from day one being his senior in Madras for a short period. Later my father transferred from Madras to AP and I settled in Hyderabad. Sundar is humble, Simple , innovative, Quick learner. For him I think positions wealth are ongoing process. But his focus is always on more innovations new technologies which are useful for general public. Over all any technology he creates for simple use of both official and common people and Google growth. That's why he is simple. All the best my friend. Bhaskar CEO

I'm from Chennai too although I've lived in the US and a couple of other countries few years at a time. It's a shame that so many of our bright people are abroad but I don't blame them. Most Indians are a bit too judgemental and our system is highly discriminatory towards "general" category people like Pichai (especially in my state where general people have only 35% of college seats open) I'm glad that the US is a relatively meritocratic system where talented people like him can contribute and build lives.
