Those who are successful don't become that way suddenly. Everything most people perceive at first glance- wealth, a successful profession, and a sense of purpose-is the consequence of persistent slog and hustle if you think about it.

My favorite GSB interview! 3rd time watching this one :) I hate when executive interviews are devoid of any weight with the word “confidence” thrown around like a frisbee. Well, anyone can master optics. This one talks about operational excellence, strategy building and shows that confidence is just a byproduct of excellence and consistency. This interview is basically a case study in strategy and change management and I’m here for it. Way to bring out the best info out of this remarkable yet humble brainiac!

While I adore Indra Nooyi for her leadership and management skills. What I feel she missed out or never talks about is how Coca Cola as a company is working to improve the planet. Coca Cola products contribute to two major issues: high sugar products and high usage of plastic in there packaging. I would like to read and understand more on how her work has contributed to bring down these two issues?

In the mid of listening to this i have a question. As Indra mam mentioned about customers changing behaviour because of health consciousness then why do PepsiCo have different products for developed and under developing countries even tough they are aware that something is wrong. Do they wait until it real need or when people start realising or based upon moral responsibility?

I hate Walmart. It's no secret that they pay their employees the very least they can get and don't treat their employees very well. They also treat their vendors very badly by ripping away their profit by paying them barely over what it takes to make their product. This in turn makes the vendor barely able to pay their employees which makes even more people who are under the poverty line like Walmart's employees. Walmart makes billions upon billions of dollars in profits every year so there's no reason for this. They know a vendor has to come to them to even have a chance to make it in and Walmart takes advantage of the desperateness. Walmart is ruthless. This is how they keep their prices down instead of using over ways like having their top executives and shareholders making less than the millions upon millions that they are making. They have no problem selling products that are made oversea by working women and children from morning to might for just a few cents that barely will, if at all, pay for their food they need to stay alive.. All these disgusting immoral tactics contribute to them having usually low prices which puts every other company and anyone who dares to compete against them out of business which in turn only gives the consumer one store they can buy things from without any choices and of course that's from Walmart. So all the employees and product varieties of the competition are squished to extinction. Walmart is bad for people and bad for the environment and that's the way they operate so it's not going to change. An absolutely despicable company. I would say don't buy from walmart but what choice do you have?? They've made sure they are the only choice. They are sick, sick people are the top of Walmart and they are fully aware of everything I've mentioned above which makes it even worse.

Both of them hardened business persons.. all the things they said seem to sugarcoat the actual tussle amongst the companies to establish a monopoly.. I request Indra Nooyi madam to go plastic free.. that’s when they will walk the talk on environmental issues.. But kudos to her for appreciating the work NGO people do.. it’s o my when leaders become cognisant of these facts that they will feel the need to prioritise it..
