I'd avoid the index funds, mutual funds, or specific stocks for the time being. The 5% fixed incomes are the safest bet for now. Save your cash for when the market actually shows sign of recovery.

Trump's plans to interfere with the Fed need much wider reporting. I'd also like to see interviews with the billionaires and financiers who endorsed him explaining why they think that (or his plans for higher tariffs) would be good for the U.S. economy -- along with the counter-point of the far larger number of economists who think that would be a terrible idea.

I like it better for a president to have some input to the interest rate than for democrat governors (Think Tim Waltz) telling people how many people they can have at there house for Thanksgiving.
