I love pundits, because if you listen to what they say, all you have to do is the opposite. If they tell you to buy a stock, don't!!! if they tell you not to, DO IT!!! You will make money that way. Tesla has by far the most data on autonomous driving than any other company out there, even if you combined them all he has way more data. That is going to be the key to the success of autonomous driving vehicles. He's not slow to the game, he's often there first. Just because a company rushes a product into production doesn't mean Tesla doesn't already have that technology they just know it's not ready to be used safely and efficiently. Henry Ford wasn't first to build an automobile, he was just first in how to mass produce it. Henry Ford maybe known for automobiles but his revolutionary advancement wasn't vehicles it was production. There is not much difference between Ford and Musk.

The Tesla robot is far behind of Boston Dynamics, and His infamous autopilot is far behind Weymo. The hype around him is finally getting out of gas. Elon Musk is good at creating a huge network of Tesla fanboys who just believe whatever he says and disregard the reality on ground.

You clearly have no idea what your talking about. Tesla is far ahead of Waymo and Boston Dynamics. Literally probably 6 years ahead. Put it this way. Tesla could buy Boston Dynamics if they saw any value which they don't. As for Waymo. If Tesla wanted they could premap areas like waymo does today and launch robotaxi and overtake waymo in a month if they wanted.

Ok, go to hundreds of hospitals around the world to see ours, branded under Philips and other names. The difference is, they are based on REAL motion planning algorithms and require rigorous documentation, safety and operational testing. If we'd been selling non-existent autonomy for a decade - and even charging to upgrade it - we'd be in jail still. What else do you have to protect your grandiose narcissist hero fraudster?

It is a sobering truth that humanity's intellectual prowess, while a source of remarkable progress, may ultimately prove to be our undoing. Our ingenuity, while capable of achieving extraordinary feats, has also unleashed forces that threaten our very existence. Technology, a double-edged sword, has undoubtedly yielded significant benefits, revolutionizing medicine, transportation, and communication, while empowering individuals to reach their full potential. However, this same technology has been ruthlessly exploited by corporate entities, perpetuating a cycle of exploitation and inequality. Elon Musk, a figure often lauded for his visionary endeavors, is no exception to this trend. His ambition, while undeniably impressive, is driven by an insatiable thirst for wealth and influence, a relentless pursuit of self-aggrandizement that often comes at the expense of others.

Tesla owner here. The problem with Tesla events is that people get over hyped and expect too much before the event. The truth is, FSD is advancing extremely fast and should be ready to function as originally intended within a year or so. The robotaxis will be a massive game changer and our economy and way of life will be altered profoundly soon. The Optimus robot will change the course of humanity. Wealth itself will fundamentally change. The world economy will forever change. Within the next 5 to ten years things are about to get wild!!! I am investing in robotics and AI now as these companies are going to make massive gains. Land itself will be an anchoring asset too because robotics or not there is only a finite amount of land. Today’s wealthiest 1% know this and are buying up land like crazy right now.

I agree. I am confident AI robots for good or ill will achieve amazing things that readers of quality science and sci-fi have been looking forward to for many years. Not just robot caregivers for old folks like me but fully networked robots in defense, medicine, tech research, and much more. I think by 2050 many occupations today will be extinct. I am not sure what humans will be doing, if anything, but if I were around then, and I am 70 now, I would continue learning as much as possible. Anyone can be a polymath. Anyone can decompartmentalize his brain and become nearly fully functional, without political affilitiation, religion, stupidity, and other deficiencies. Since the simultaneous rise of sci-fi (with Jules Verne) and heavy industry and general science after the Civil War technology and human intelligence have developed together. Discoveries in biology, medicine, astronomy, and lots of other stuff has accelerated. Imagine the next 150 years. I wish I could be there.
@poulwinther8 күн бұрын
Within a year or so? So ten years delay on a product most people replace within two is fair to you? Even if they could deliver next year it would still be so late that it should be considered fraud. But it's not nearly going to work safely next year because the hardware is barely capable of level 3, far, far from level 5.
