Whats the nearest road this off of?

I don't know, I was a tourist and I don't know the area. From what I understand, the quarry has been filled in with stone in order to stop people from using it for swimming. Many people would get hurt or die swimming at the quarry and it was a burden on the owner.

It's the most wonderful water in the world!! The IU divers would do some spectacular dives off the farthest wall.

My friend died jumping into that quarry, and he wasn’t the first person this happened to. It really is stupid.

Just out of curiosity if you don’t mind me askin. Was it because he landed wrong on the jump or was it because he wasn’t able to reliably swim for as long as he thought he could.

@@hiyo9144 I don’t know. It was all caught on video. He jumped and everything looked normal, but then he didn’t come back up. He was a good swimmer and wasn’t the first person in the group to jump in that night. This happened around 15 years ago, I think. Jumping into quarries is always a risky business, especially when you can’t see what is beneath the water you are jumping into.

when you jump from rooftop you go deep so the water is cold. it feels like you were a train hitting the water followed by paddling upwards being in a can of fresh opened soda w the bubbles, and you go deep as it takes forever to get to the top where on the way up you can feel the water temp change.. did it 2 times in one day, plus 3 of the other jumps.
