The tack shooter having a monkey isn’t canon. In Bloons TD Battles, there is a tack shooter skin called tack tower that removes the pink lid off of the tack shooter and shows that is has gears in it.

She slices open bloons and that deflates them over time, which, considering most other piercing/slicing attacks _don't_ do this, it brings to mind weapons that are designed to create untreatable wounds, like that hideous corkscrew knife I heard about.

To add onto all this, I'm thoroughly convinced the Monkey Buccaneer is a hardened war criminal no matter what path he takes: -Top Path: The aircraft carrier employs 3 planes which not only rapidly shoot out darts at their target towards them, but also spray out ammunition in all directions; this is an indiscriminate attack and therefore illegal under article 51 of the first Geneva Protocol -Middle Path: Not only is hot shot prohibited as shown by the video, but also grape shot is questionable because the use of bullets that can 'flatten easily' is prohibited. The description of the upgrade says the grapes are 'sharpened' but exactly how sharpened is up for debate. Not to mention Monkey Pirates which have an attack that harpoons moabs and pulls them towards itself, not only sinking it but also instantly killing any bloon inside, without giving them chance to surrender -Last Path: The Hague Convention of 1907 (which is still binding) states that merchant ships being converted into war ships have to show their nationality and announce their conversion. The merchantman does neither so of course he is also guilty of a war crime. That all being said, the un-upgraded buccaneer does not break any laws. It either dies a hero or lives long enough to see itself become the villain.

Basically if you were sanctioned by a state to do it its not piracy, its militant naval ransacking/salvaging. While potentially worth war crimes if performed while not at war, Privateers almost always were hired during and only given jobs hitting against, active wars and opposing participants within them, and were often either relieved of duty and ordered to return to land, or ordered to enter standard navy operations at war's end. There are noted examples of Privateers defecting to Piracy by disobeying similar demilitarizing orders and continuing the plundering for their own gain; such a distinction in title, stated occupation, and treatment deserved implied by these tales means that, connotatively, Privateering is not criminal, flat out, despite the fact the only difference is its state sanctioned as a war menouver. These tales are a core reason why i assert what i assert. The "war crimes" I refered to are at most performing acts of war on civilians without even having declared war on the country the ship served. However, standalone Piracy itself often cannot lead to war criminality due to the sheer Lack of the power to commit war on the side of the pirate against an actual State, the way to be a war criminal due to your piracy is quite literally you need to Fuck up either when or who you hit in the right spectrel direction of the respective areas. Pirates were very much their own class of people who were basically just naval criminals who got to get away with it for long stretches due to how OP having good naval power was if all you needed was accessable via naval operation. In the btd lore you are simply a commander at the front line hiring official militarily sanctioned employees to defend (???), its just easier and more recogniseable to say Pirates despite them being Privateers more or less. God damn i've read too many pirate books and wikis if i can spew this much off the cuff despite never having actually sat down and watched a pirate movie. I've a strong sense of the Princess Bride movie sure, but i only caught clips over and over/hyper-focused analysis videos while i did other shit. Extra notes: For the nukes, I would say GZ doesn’t pose too much as a threat, but tsar bomba is a major threat Sauda level 9 is a bloon bleed, not sure if this is a war crime or not Cripple Moab makes it so moabs stunned take extra damage from attacks Does laser shock (2xx dartling gunner) count as plasma based? Bloon sabotage slows bloons, but grand saboteur also makes Moab-class bloons spawn with less health, not sure if grand saboteur is a criminal for this Flash bombs in real life creates a flash of light, possibly blinding, not sure on the blinding part though. Debatable if this makes flash bomb a crime or not since the upgrade is just an explosive. Legend of the night deletes bloons if they make it to the end of the track. How does this work exactly? Primary Expertises is more like a base thats been built to help with educating those who signed up for the war but dont know much about warfare (the Primary Training and Primary Mentoring), which also buffs primary towers. Technically the projectile is just a scaled up ninja star, and ninja stars havent been considered illegal to use in war, so if ninja stars aren't considered illegal in war, then the Primary Expertises is lawfully acceptable

For the Sniper Monkey... I know that for military uses, it's a war crime to use any caliber above .50, but I'm pretty sure the top path does, though there's no way to know.

In BTD5, the 2X sniper upgrade was called "Point Five 0", and only did 7 damage. Assuming the corresponding 2XX upgrade in BTD6 is also .50, this means 3XX and higher are using higher caliber rounds to deal up to 80 damage per shot.

I can't belive im really thinking about the bloons lore but... I did some digging in some of the earlier games of bloons and found something in the game... Bloons super monkey 2 So it's just the basic bloons super monkey concept like in the original game but... Firstly there is a so called Dr. Monkey He can upgrade the body of your supermonkey with something called blops (I'll get to the blops later) I feel as though he's the person behind the perma charge as well as the tech terror and anti bloon having such freakish bodies. Now that that's out of the way I think I discovered something HUGE with blops firstly in the games there are red and blue blops you get these blops by defeating bloons... WAIT... Doesn't that sound kind of similar to bloontonium? I belive that bloontonium is a advanced version of these blops. So now that we managed to find out what bloontonium quite possibly is... What do you do with these blops and then later with bloontonium well ... In bloons super monkey 2 you use your blops to literally upgrade your super monkey also you can use it to get new weapons for your super monkey which means that all the weapons shown in bloons super monkey 2 are chemical warfare and since they are the same weapons as some of the one's seen in btd6 there's proof of these weapons to be actually chemical warfare: darts, boomerangs, bombs, magic, and lasers. also in the weapon upgrades you can unlock: exploding pineapples, sai throwing knifes, AND KATANAS now who uses KATANAS in btd6? That's right sauda so I have proof of sauda also being a war criminal oh also with bombs being illegal so are missiles

No stretching is required to define the Glue Gunner as a whole as a war criminal. According to the CWC, the use of chemicals that inflict incapacitation fall under chemical warfare. Glue would also be classified as a booby trap or an improvised weapon outside of the Bloons Universe, Where it is considered a registered munition type.

Sauda has bloon bleed which may just be bloon blood but it could’ve counted as unnecessary and prolonged suffering

I didn’t even realize nuclear weapons weren’t legally classified as a war crime. Which is a little odd considering they’re capable of outright omnicide and you’d be lucky to not suffer from them assuming one goes off in your general proximity.

Shrapnel doesn’t disappear from the sniper’s attacks at higher middle path levels. If Shrapnel Shot gets the orange circle, so should the rest of them. Same thing with middle and bottom path sub. And middle path buccaneer. And Spy Plane. And bottom path mortar. And bottom path ninja. And middle path village.

Yep, I decided to judge exclusively on the upgrades war crime status rather then it combined with past upgrades. It's still a war crime as long as you go down the path, but I wanted to highlight specific upgrades in particular (which I couldn't do in those scenarios, since a lot of paths would just strictly be entirely red/orange even if some upgrades wouldn't be war crimes)
