I just drove 300miles on the highway having this album on repeat. When I arrived, I felt like I traveled through space & time. Best purchase I made this year... probably the best album I bought in years. Easily one of the best records I listened to in my whole life. It's as close to perfection as it gets. To imagine that this track didn´t exist before, and then they just "make" it in the studio, is pure magic to me. It´s one of these tracks that doesn´t feel or sound written at all, but rather like it is dug out carefully, captured from another dimension. Nothing could be changed or added to it.

I have a strange relationship to Carbon Based Lifeforms and especially this track. I had two episodes during the last years where I was heavily smoking freebase cocaine and crack, no sleep, isolated alone at home, and during these day- and weeklong benders, I would listen to CBL on repeat. Somehow, it was the perfect soundtrack for this inner journey with it´s trancendental energy to it. The music to me is absolutely existential, pure and somehow alive - very hard to describe. It kind of drags me into another realm of existence, a better blace beyond. I am clean now and glad to be alive, but when I listen to Derelicts or World Of Sleepers, it reminds me of that phase.

I played this in my car to work and yes, my eyes teared up, too. I played the song 5 times, the first angelic noise at about 01:05 min, the girl... then at the mark you typed a sonic orgasm and that slow pulsating bass every second 4th note.

I'm a kind of modern music professor and I'm currently searching for new and interesting bands and tracks in genres like space ambient, chill, trance, electro genres and have checked thousands of such tracks already, but found only 6 very good examples. There are two main directions in these styles- one is static and mechanical style, with no melody; another style is driven by some musical message, but this is as dead and depressing, as "Interstellar" movie soundtrack from 2014. No faith, just die, thats all. I have nothing against Hans Zimmer, author of it, he has made good ones too, but I think depressing was just intentional, because the whole movie was that...But CBL 42 here, is just a RARE DIAMOND. It really is just ALL-IN-ONE: it's mystical, chill, it has a message, its warm, its solid and whats the most important - it has a spirit. And a big one! Outstanding!! Really. Bytheway, who's Ester Nanmark? What a beatyful voice. Can't find her photo in the net....would like to see. Some years ago I checked out "Refraction 1.33" by CBL and considered it interesting. But this one here is much more. Perfect. CBL might just make more tracks like this, insted of routine and static. The other good ones were: Asura: "Oblivion Gravity"(FR); Shinobu Entsu "Gregorian Recordare" (this is actually Michael Cretu); and Stive Morgan "Alien Worlds"(RU), also maybe Vocoderion "High Level"(PL) and Serge Douw "Evolution"(GB). Evolution is actually very old but sounds great though.

"You put yourself living, in a small and beautyful town, but this is reduced to the size of a book. And it's built on the sunflower blossom. A sun shines unimaginably bright, every drop of water looks like a fallen crystal, reflecting all spectrum colours, every small pollen particle looks like a huge honeycomb. The sky is not just blue, but its a transition between turquise and indigo blue, which surges and changes all the time, as warm/cold air masses interchange and mix there constantly. Amongst the people, a mind reading is essential. There's no misunderstandings, nor phisical damage/diseases anymore. People even look totally different. Just one small option about the state of mind, this type of music could put you in. Yet a small look, just like through a periscope, while another reality is a million times larger, for sure.

@@1001ET I found something else. For me its about fleeting or passing. Everything is fleeting even the most beautiful irreplaceable things in our life. In my reading the rainbow is a perfect metaphor for this. This music is wonderful and painful at the same time. Its not easy to find a track that generates feelings as huge as this tune does.
