I get the feeling all comedians are like that in private, and when you get groups of them together that's how it goes. Comedians bullshitting with each other is my favorite kind of comedy. It reminds me of hanging out with my own best friends as a kid.

One of my favorite things is watching comedians overcome with laughter. They are always composing and cracking jokes to elicit laughter and I always find it so interesting to see what makes them lose it.

A second series wasn't comissioned because it wasn't considered to be diverse enough. All of these comedians are here on merit rather than ticking a diversity quota box. Instead CH4 went with another series of 8OO10 Cats with extreme diversity...And we all know how that went.

It's a shame this one didn't get past the first series. I really enjoyed it. Although on reflection, it was largely thanks to David Mitchell that I watched it at all. If it had been hosted by someone who relied more heavily on the script, it would have been a lot more dull.

The term 'blooper' doesnt refer to bits not shown in the original broadcast, it refers to mistakes, fluffed lines and unintentional happenings that occur during recording. Something that fits these descriptions that were shown during original broadcast are still 'bloopers' regardless.

@@JarthenGreenmeadow from what i can find the term originated in the 1920s because of radios. Apparently if you tuned them poorly the radio would make an unpleasant bloop noise. Then i think theater and Hollywood popularised it as a movie term (blooper reels etc) and it fitted because of that sound check they do when cameras start rolling, meaning each clip would be separated by a "bloop" sound. Having said that, the radio origin and all the definitions i could find do seem to specifically make note of the clips "usually" being removed. I found no definitions specifying that they had to be cut or else they werent bloopers.

When they're talking about "sauna" and the woman goes "well that is the Scandinavian pronounciation of it" I just had to chuckle. The pronounciation is closer to the original, but "sauna" is a Finnish word, which is not Scandinavian. In Scandinavia it's called "badstue" or "bastu."

OK, I have to ask... How many panel shows are there on British TV, and how few people rotate in these? For the last 10 years I've seen the same 20 to 30 people repeatedly in all these shows. Do they belong to a "secret" order that has exclusive rights to all lighter entertainment? There must be a larger selection in such a densely populated country as Great Britain.
