Thank you so much for this. Not only is it a perfect stitch for my baby blanket it also provides beautifully straight side edges.

Good morning. I was looking through KZbin for a pattern to crochet and came across this one and I decided to give a try and It became addictive! What I did was I add 16 more chains to your chain count because I wanna make a scarf and I followed your instructions. I didn’t like the stitch at first because I didn’t understand why adding a chain to single and double and added four chains and one chain at the turning, but I continued to crochet until I finally understood why and I felt comfortable with with the stitch pattern. I was still crocheting way past my bedtime. Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for your tutorials. I love you! 🥰

When we are looking for any pattern crochet or knitting we have to listen to the whole life story to get what we are asking

Are you looking for a particular pattern? This is just the instructions for this particular stitch which is why the video is so short.
