Hear me out. Ever since John Mara and Steve Tisch have taken ownership in 2005 the franchise has been a slow decline. Yes we won superbowls in 2007 and 2011 but those were large in part of teams that Wellington Mara and Ernie Accorsi had put together started in the early 2000 with drafting Eli Manning. I was OK with both going because the cost of retaining them would have significantly crippled them from adding OL help. I just wished they would have dealt them at the deadline if the plan all along was to let them go. Also, as fans we have to realize this version of Saquon wasn't what we had in New York. He was incredibly overrated here in New York in part because of lackluster supporting cast. In Philly, he's running 10-yards before contact, doesn't have stacked boxes against him.

Daboll's short comings are bigger than X's and O's. His personality with the public is part of the issue. If you look at the last 3 great NYG coaches they started rough, Parcells had 5 wins in two seasons, Fassell and Coughlin had rough moments at the start. What they did though was talk to people like they aren't stupid. Those 3 coaches didn't have canned responses and knew to admit what fans and others might be thinking. It bought them the time they needed to succeed. This is going to take 3 to 4 years to fix and the people in charge cant keep pretending that what folks are seeing isn't true. People need to chill out. We have seen the talent improve since they came in. We have finally seen improvement in the o line which took Dabes firing a friend. And the D line finally looks great again. We also had the most successful draft in years. Both of them deserve at least 2 more years possibly more. We saw in b hard knocks that the 2 QBs Dabes wanted have turned out to look great for rookies on what were last year horrible teams. If they think there is no QB in this draft that is actually worth a 1st rounder on and they end up getting Hunter instead then that shows me they are serious about building a solid team that can be competitive every year even if the QB situation isnt fixed for another year. I get people want to win but id rather give them a few extra years to build a solid all around team and only use a 1st on a QB when they believe in that QB, preferably bring Manning in but thats a whole different topic. Schoen and Dabes took over a train wreck that had no money and in 3 years have more or less fixed the cap situation and have drafted multiple young starters on cheap contracts and we are seeing the core be developed. Instead of setting this team back another decade let them finish what they started. 5-6 years total is what they should be allowed before this conversation should even be happening.

And people who say “the bucs lost 4 straight we should have played better!” The bucs were without 3 of their first receivers. Sterling Shepard was a practice squad player when he got there. The bucs were a playoff team before Evan’s and Godwin got injured. Now that Evan’s is back they are now back in the playoff hunt. If you’re a giants fan and you thought you had a chance bc the Bucs lost 4 in a row. (Two in overtime) you are delusional as hell

Here’s the problem-none of the head coach hires outside Slowik and Johnson (and they’re not coming here) look remotely better. Vrabel hasn’t done anything since 2019, Flores is a good DC but a power-hungry and abusive Belichick flunky, Monken and Evero have never been offered NFL HC opportunities this entire time which would make them patsy hires for a bad team, and Belichick would only be interested in running Club Med with his flunkies instead of proving Brady wrong. Enough fans screaming for an outside hire now screaming for a firing would traumatize Mara into go right back to the comfortable in-house promotions. Brandon Brown’s too smart to remain here and be scapegoated after his two years. The grass on the other side starts with Dennis Hickey being promoted to GM, and Ron Rivera/Marvin Lewis/Robert Saleh/Mike McCarthy as HC. Sound fun? Careful what you wish for….

Sal has been the biggest Daboll apologist.. There is not one good thing Daboll brings to the table other than some ridiculous claim that he developed Josh Allen .. He’s the worst coach in the NFL and his offense has been horrendous for 3 years .. The caller that was cut off for saying it was 100% correct that giving daboll coach of the year in 2022 was a joke .. we won a bunch of close games in 2022 off of Jones ability to make huge plays off of broken plays .. it was never because daboll was some great coach .. stop blaming the damn QB when not a single player on the team is performing..
