To stop this from ever happening again, remove both wiper arms, pop off the wiper shroud, install a piece of 1/4" metal hardware cloth over the gaping air intake hole with screws or adhesive. Reinstall. No more mice.

Solid advice! In the south the mice are a real problem during the winter. Going to make sure we do this to every vehicle lol

You needed to show how to use a flat head screw driver to remove and replace the kick panel and how to unclip the attached electrical relay that covers the blower motor. The other thing is the pulling out the back of the glove box to check the cabin air filter that protects the top of the blower motor air inlet. Look for mice nests etc. How did something get past the filter into the blower. Might be a good time to vacuum that air filter of replace it.

You must be thinking of a different model. My 1998 Camry doesn't have a cabin filter.

can dirt that falls through those vents near the windshield/wipers somehow get into the blower motor? gonna check the blower motor as it causes vibration on higher speeds. No need to take the glove box out, or is that for convenience to have more space to work? tx for the vid!

Not likely to get dirt from the fresh air intake. Just take the blower out and clean the wheel to see if that fixes the imbalance.

How did you fix the problem of mice getting in? Or just dump out the motor every few months?

I've only ever had one mouse in there. If you are having to do this often you may need to get an exterminator or pest control professional to treat the area you park your car

I had to help a friend with their toyota but couldn't get the clip off. Luckily i didn't need to and didnt have mice in it. I was worried id break the clip with the amount of force needed. It is still making some sound a lot less but we will replace it soon. Any advice how to get the clip off without breaking it?

Damn breathing air accompanied by a dead mouse lol. My 16 Camrys blower motor is beginning to make a noise. Checked down in it for debris but nothing was in there. Thought about listening to it until it went out

It's probably the bearing going out. Either get it rebuilt by an electrical shop that rebuilds alternators and starters or get a new Toyota part

@@dudewecanfixit I was considering just replacing the unit entirely. I changed it on my last Camry which was a 2013. If it’s identical then it should be a easy replace. I’d like to save money where I can
