Nice to see a little extra care taken on a system that looks like it has had a rough and neglected life. Good job 👍

What a difference in repairs. One is real simple versus needing a board. That air handler looked so basic I can't believe you need a board for this stuff. Thanks for showing old school versus new tech fixes.

I have a weird one... system works perfect in summer and winter, but at the start of every spring or fall my blower won't shut off and is extra loud. This goes on for weeks. Only way to get it to stop is to pull the breaker. This has been going on for 4 years. Any ideas?

Huh I haven't seen a control board send 27 to the fan like that. Usually it's a stuck relay or bad motor/module.

I was able to check the temperature before the Evaporator and after with a digital thermometer and after a while at each side I got 71.1 before and 41.1 after evaporator. Thats a 30 degrees difference. Could this be right? Now when set thermostat to 74 it drops temp but doesn't turn off, at 75 it turns off and on turns like it should. What could it be problem?

Those sequencers are a bane. Usually I been able to get them to act right if I whack them with a screwdriver handle.

Shot gunning parts? Are they bad?

I have a question about my thermostat. It does not turn off when switched to off and when it clicks to the reached temperature it also does not turn off. Could it be a bad thermostat, a blown fuse or a bad capacitor on the condenser on the outside unit?
@paulyanez51988 ай бұрын
Sounds like a bad contractor. If you decide to do the repair yourself make sure to cut the main power and replace wire by wire. DO NOT TAKE ALL WIRES Off and try to remember where they go.
@JohnSmith-lf8kg8 ай бұрын
@@paulyanez5198 thanks for the tip,but it got fix and is working. It was a burnt fuse on the main board and not the thermostat itself. I didn't fix it myself, just put a work order so someone can come and fix it.

the failed board likely thinks there's flame when there shouldn't be or an open high limit, some will do that on sensing other things wrong or being bad.

Can you do a video on real numbers...im currently in HVAC school and my instructors barley talk about how much things cost vs the profit
@picklerix61622 жыл бұрын
That’s a business class versus an HVAC class. I worked for several HVAC contractors and the smartest would buy contactors, capacitors, and common condenser fan motors in bulk to save a lot of money. One year, my boss purchased a bunch of generic 3 ton condensers super cheap and we sold those very quickly. I don’t know how many contractors are buying parts online but it makes sense in many cases.
